Superdelegates are assigned in a number of ways. The only real requirment for being a Superdelegate in the Democratic party is being a member. If he is not a Congressman, Senator or Governor, then he was probably given the status as a reward. That aside, Chelsea has grown into an attractive woman who is smart, wealthy and powerful, you'd be crazy to turn down a dinner date with her.
