what would you do if everyone you knew was infected with this disease that caused rage and one bite from them would make you infected as well????? even if it was a family member, would you kill them just to keep from getting infected??? that movie was fucked up. thanx to those fuckin animal rights activists!
If there was no cure, I could likely evade my slow ass family. But the 'zombies' in 28 days were pretty quick, and apparently smart fo' zombies who just wanted flesh. I probably would try to save the people I cared about and get bitten. I'd like to play it off tough, but unless I knew that they were unsavable, I would try. And if they were infected a la 28 days, I would get infected, unless I killed myself before I got the virus. That was a really good movie. Intense charecter focus on strong people going against those circumstances. Most zombie movies provide a lot of charecters and a couple make it out because their lucky. If life were like a horror movie, don't split up, and don't have sex ever. Sex never worked out in slasher flicks. Kinda sad.
well i don't much care for horror or zombie flics anyway, nor have i seen this one or any other in ages. i don't quite see the connection the origeonal post makes with animal rights activists, or even what fault anyone finds in the moral legitimacy of their intentions. we ARE animals, and i don't see how we can expect the diversity of the rest of the universe to treat us any better or differently then we treat other life forms. and yes i do eat meat, and no i don't see that as making me hypicritical, because i don't see that as requiring any other sort of abuse then a quick painless death for whatever lunch i consume. and yes i do know, the the meat industry does not place a priority on making the deaths of livestock quick and painless. that debt of kharma is, i feel, MOSTLY however, their's. =^^= .../\...
it's an incredibly good movie. it's pretty damned deep, too. the scene where the one lady is doping up the young girl for their inevitable rape at the hands of their supposed saviors is pretty profound. the choices we have to make, the price of a vicious anarchy on the weak and helpless, our need to work with a group, our need ofr society. the sad choices we have to make. who can live with fear, and who cannot. and it's gory and scary, too.
I thought the idea behind the movie was great and the movie itself was okay... it just seemed lacking in something in the way they presented it. Just my opinion though.
Wow, 28 Days Later sets a truely fucked up situation. I wouldn't try and kill anyone with that disease, I mean who would really have the bottle to attack a psychotic monstrosity of that extreme? Even if someone was stupid enough to try and kill them (and risk being mutlilated etc) they also have procjectile blood which will infect you with the 'rage' within seconds I can't say I would try and save anyone to be honest (unless it was a young child or I was seriously in love with someone). Basically, I'd beat up the first person I see with a car and drive like a mother fucker... Lodui, Under those circumstances, I find it hard to believe that you would go into Steven Seagal mode mate. If you had a sub machine gun then maybe you'd have a 10% chance of achieving an Oscar moment :jester: themnax, In the film, animal rights activists freed some monkeys from a lab but didn't know that they were carrying the deadly virus. Your post was a huge WTF!?!? The film was a great idea but was ruined by the huge holes in the plot/story. Theres a sequel in production as we speak.
I disagree. Karma cannot be divided among all facilitating players. It is shared, not in part, but in FULL by each actor.
Oh damn that movie scared me. I hate watching movies with my dad. He always leaves during the scary parts and then comes up with something loud and scares the shit outta me. As for the question, you kinda have to think. There's no cure for it. They aren't gonna get any better. It's your life or a zombies. They wouldn't really be the same person, would they?
It's a great movie. What would I do? I'd hook up with a zombie chick! ... Seriously though, I'd probably just start roaming the streets and surviving. I'm good at games, that would be a challenging one.
themnax, watch the movie and you will understand. it was animal rights activists that unleashed the highly contagious rage disease. they were pleaded not to, by the scientist, but since they cared more about freeing the chimpanzees, they went ahead and released them to disasterous consequences. in turn, it pitted man against man
