Do you think 3-D TV and movies will succeed and become the norm in the future? Here's an article that details the problems with 3D, why some people get headaches and eyestrain from it. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20110120/D9KS1FDO1.html
It's a pity they are having problems with this technology, I like it. Could do with someone doing something interesting and off beat with it though, it's all hollywood trash.
I reckon they'll make the last three Star Wars films in 3-D. Maybe not though, the latest three were pish. Imagine if they'd made Lord of the Rings in 3D!
there are problems to be ironed out, but i think yes eventually 3d would be the norm. there will always be the 2d alternative though. cuz hell, what if someone only had one eye?
Only seen one film in 3D and i had to take the glasses off after the first hour. Made my eyes feel really tired. Its overrated garbage.
Im Not anticipating or excited in the least for these possibilities, I was quite satisfied what Avatar did in this film genre with 3d. I like 3d but only infrequently.
my son is blind in one eye so he doesn't get 3D... or magic eye, but i like 3D for some movies... i'd like to have seen Alice in Wonderland in 3D...
haha its true dude, like for the austereoscopic 3d tvs to come (without glasses. im assuming this problem will be ironed out.) someone needs both their eyes to see the 3d. like the Nintendo 3DS thats gonna come out, if i for some reason gouged out one of my eyes in the past, i wouldnt be able to see the 3d; itd just be jumble. not sure if thats true for the 3d with glasses though. most likely though since perception just becomes completely screwed up. it all has to do with calculations and line of sight kind of thing while taking into account the angle pixels are perceived and the shutter.
i am crap at explaining things, but this link might help http://www.3dglassesonline.com/learn/how-do-3d-glasses-work
Interesting, I don't see how lacking in some of ones vision equates to not being able to see 3d? One eye sees more than 50% of vision. Do those with 20/20 vision pick out 3d better than those with less than? Im not denying that you guys are correct, just does not make sense to me.
I kind of dislike 3D movies. For one, I don't really see much point in it anyway. I don't really notice a lot of difference and it seems to just hurt my eyes and give me headaches. NO TO 3D!!!
Agreed. 3D hurts my eyes. Also i dislike having to where those wretched 3d glasses for what 2 hours on an average. what's wrong with normal films, if it ain't broken..!?
