john lithgow is a great actor.....

he was the only bright spot in that movie, footloose.

and his take on that classic twilight zone episode with the goblin on the wing of an airplane is just incredible..... he made william shatner's performance look like carrot top in the call att commercials.

3rd Rock from the Sun is a great show. IMO one of the funniest shows to ever be on tv. Lithgow is hilarious.

lol, my brain has forever been tainted by the Johnny Bravo version of it.

and gawd, why'd you have to bring footloose into it?!? I think that movie is better off forgotten.

Anyway, I thought he was great in Homegrown. :p

third rock, like alf and my favorite matian, took a concept that had real possibilities and turned it into total gratuitous pointlessness. mork and mindy with robin williams is the only time i can think of it ever having been made to really work well.

i think lithgow is great though. in back to the future and in a little campy sciffy thing called buckaroo bonasai in the 8th dimention. if third rock had been a serialization of the context and charicters of buckaroo bonasai, (as i personaly feel it wouldhve couldhave shouldhave been) THAT would have been GREAT.

    "where are we going?"
    "planet then"
"when are we gonna get there?"
    "REAL soon!"

(he was also great as a serious actor as an unknown in a number of realy great things even before buckaroo bonasai
and before anyone ever heard of him except as another name in the credits)

    =^^=

Don't you hate when they take a good show and cancel it?

I always liked French Stewart's character Harry. He cracked me up one day when he looked in the mirror, with that weird voice of his - he goes "I'm a pretty maaaaaan".

I don't know why that cracked me up.

I loved this show! It made my childhood bearable...But yea....John Lithgow is awesome, as the little princey guy on Shrek! His voice was perfect for that role!
