what else do you want from me?

i backcombed em 4 months ago, i palm roll the hell out of em every day, i use either shampoo from either knotty boy or dhhq and wash 'em like once or twice a week.. i used wax for like the first 2 and a half weeks and then stopped and rinsed it all out cause it was freakin' disgusting, haha.

uhm.. i use a crochet hook to put loose hairs back in, so they look a bit tad more presentable and a little neater.

    and they're gonna get fatter..?
at least they did the last time i had dreads.
and if they don't.. fuck it,
    if i wanted giant shitlocks
i'da made huge ass sections before i did em.

buncha haters up in here, eh?

I can't see the pictures =/ though I can see its getting a little messy in here. I'm just interested in why you chose to use wax? do you read this board much because I think alot of the negativity here is due to you doing pretty much all the things most people here would advise against.

Humph ok. I personally think they look a bit waxy to me. I'd also advise against using dhhq dreadsoap on a regular basis as it's very difficult to rinse out, and makes dreads look odd imo. Was that better?

    Haha,
No, i do not, i actually just found it today. And i just did. I had dreads once before, they were down my back and i used wax in the beginning and it helped 'em get alot tighter, alot faster. I'm not gonna try and preach the ways of wax, cause it'll be useless, but III found that if you put virtually
no wax in them, and palm roll it really well into the dread,
it can have pretty good effects. But can also have really bad effects
if you put even slightly too much wax in em, which is the main reason i stopped cause it's way too easy to overwax em. But idk, everyone i knew and talked to used wax and they looked nice, so, naturally, so did i. And like I said, I used it for the first 2-3 weeks, putting more in MAYBE once a week, if that. I mean, if they look that rancid cause i put wax in 3r4 times, then goddamn. Guess I fail. Paha.

yeah it was. and idk why they'd look waxy, i haven't put any wax in there since.. august..? if that.. and that's just the shampoo i have. I've had it left over from the first time I had dreads,

Wassup with dr. bronners, why's it so good for dreads. School me man, i don't have anyone else to get feedback/tips from.

ya well I mean the thing with waxing hair is it doesn't actually knot them together, dreadlocks being matted hair; the individual hairs need to be able to move around to be able to knot up. Using wax holds the hairs in wax, inhibiting movement and just sticks them together instead of knotting them together and the whole palm rolling bit isn't massively productive in the long run - when you've got wax in your hair it just mushes the loose hairs into the wax, your not going to get much actually progress with doing it, just make them look more 'tidy' for a bit.
