The 4th of july, the time of year where small 2 seater falling apart trucks have a hundred dollar 10 foot flag off the back blinding anyone trying to turn around it.

Remember, flag burning isn't illegal- if they don't catch you.

i don't know how you could miss it. every road in the nation was closed for 3 mornings in a row for parades/food stands in the middle of the road, plus there's that gunfire sound from about 10-10:30 every night.

I am going to roll a large joint and sit on my porch and smoke it. Perhaps I will howl with the monkeys or maybe I will start a monkey army and take my revenge on the world...

Indeed... I had visions of militant howler monkeys and a world domination plan that went awry through monkey mutiny.

I'm hoping the upright monkeys with wardrobes mutiny this mothership that continues to fertilize the masses with a thick layer of what is called, "news"... articulated with a straight face that is only possible when the gray matter of the announcer believes implicitly the excrement being spewed.

In other words, business as usual. Let's light some fireworks and sparkling noise makers.... annoy the neighborhood dogs to ensure no one on the block who works first shift gets a decent night's sleep.

Oh, New York Congressweiner, Anthony Weiner took one for the team as distraction of the month... ballsy move in getting closer to the privates citizen and taxpayer.

You could almost hear the repugnican party salivate. The thing is, bipartisan cooperation has indeed been achieved as Obama, Inc. seems to have effectively complemented the fine work of GWB in continuing to implode the economy. This suggests that the agendas of different administrations and congresses are being crafted by basically the same people.

And to think, the November following the next Loud Explosions Day we'll get the chance to participate in our own deception by casting ballots. Oh the unbridled and joyous pride in my country is gushing out of every orifice of my body. It coordinates with the thick and pungent layer of news that's spread daily... and they say farming is a dying industry... well in the US it's a case of semantics but the industry itself is alive and well.

Yeah, it's been a while or two.
