yeah it does...my friend was saying a kid he know got some 5 meo amt from some medical store. he obviously got the story wrong, but im thinking he meant a chemical supply store or something. he said his friend had to sign a waver saying that he wouldnt use it for recreation and he had to be 18 to purchase. what do you think the chances are of finding DMT or AMT in a store?

your not going to find them in a store ever but you might be able to find a planet that contains DMT in a health/herb/plant store look on erowid and look up planets that contain DMT if you want the chemical you will have to order it

Uh, I know for cetain that DMT, 5-Me-DMT, and 5-MeO-DMT are all illegal. I don't know about 5-Me-AMT or 5-MeO-AMT, but AMT (and probably all of its psychoactive derivatives) is illegal as well.

ah, so they appear to be, too bad. hmm im reconsidering trying this 5meo amt since it IS still in research... its kind of funny, this kid today who told me he had some was like "yeah man i hear youre permantantly changed after you take the shit, like even after it wears off" -hah, that doesnt sound very good.

Man, I would stay away from 5-meo if I were you...I've done it before, and I'll tell you that it ain't no lightweight shit, ok? Even if you know exactly what you are doing (which I don't think is your case) it's very easy to have accidents with this drug. A little spot of powder smaller than the size of a pencil eraser will have you fucked up for at least 12 hours. If you're hell bent on doing any research chemicals, AT LEAST stick to the "safer" ones like 2ci.

yeah, i dont think im going to try it. he said it will be in capsules with sugar as a filler, and if i did take an 5meo i think i would want to at least measure it out for myself. i dont know who hes getting it from either so all in all its a pretty sketchy situation.

5-meo-dmt is not illegal, unless it's been scheduled in the past couple months.

DMT is Scheduled, and under the Emergency Scheduling Act, any analogue or derivative of a Scheduled substance that is also psychoactive is ALSO technically considered a Schedule I substance. Thus, 5-Me-DMT (which is supposedly roughly 5 times as powerful as DMT) and 5-MeO-DMT (which is roughly 10 times as powerful as DMT, from what I've heard at least) will all be siezed and prosecuted as Schedule I substances.

AMT is not scheduled, but any psychoactive that, according to the scheduling act, produces psychoactive effects similar to any scheduled substance (of which AMT, 5-Me-AMT, and 5-MeO-AMT all do) is considered a scheduled substance.

I.e. if you get busted using any of these, having any of these, or selling any of these, and you're not a scientist with a good reason for having them, you probably will (but may not) get screwed by the law.

Edit: Only DMT is "directly" illegal, as it is listed as a Scheduled substance. However, all the others (right down to 5-MeO-AMT) are all "indirectly" illegal, and you can be prosecuted for using/having/distributing them, with the same or similar penalties as DMT.

Though you are technically correct, Hikaru, I'm not aware of any cases where someone has gotten prosecuted under the analogue act for rc's. That's not to say that the DEA couldn't do it if they wanted to, but they haven't as far as I know. If that were the case, then EVERY SINGE RESEARCH CHEMICAL would be schedule I since they're all analogues of something (phenethylamines=mdma, tryptamines=AMT/DMT). Shit, with the way that the analogue act is worded, practically anything could be an analogue of a schedule I substance, especially if you're going by the "similar effects" deal (think salvia).

within the past couple years, amt, 5meo-dipt, & 2ct7 were emergency scheduled as sch 1 substances...
    but 5meo-dmt & 5meo-amt were not...
    so...
it is "technically" legal to have them, but quite illegal to actually ingest them yourself, or to give them to humans or animals, or represent (or sell) them as being similar to other, already illegal drugs...

& if some DA thinks that what you've got in your stash is "substantially similar" (whateverthefuk that means) to mdma or dmt or foxy or alpha, well lookout & get yourself a smart lawyer...
(but then again, how did that prosecutor (ummm, persecutor?) know what was in your stashbox anyways, hmmmm?)

"cognitive liberty" doesn't sit well with the gummint it seems...
