actually not, you probably had never heard of them until after they made it big and got commercialized so you wouldnt know. Ive been listening to their mix tapes for years and owned all 50's CD's before he signed to shady records. They came up from the streets man, you have to respect it. but its true what they say, money changes people. my ranking of g-unit 1. lloyd banks 2. mobb deep 3. young buck 4. d-rich 5. MOP 6. olivia 7. Tony Yayo 8. Ma$e
Nope, they should be g-unot. To be honest, I never knew they exsisted before all the money and shit so I do appologise! But from what I've seen, it seems they (well, 50 cent in particular) only rap for money and bitches and everything else besides. From the commercial stuff I've heard, there's just no meaning in any of it.
who in their right mind would go see his "gangsta" movie? does anybody really (pardon my language) give a fuck?
hahahaha i have both of there first like popular albums, however i have not lisend to them in ages, my music tastes have considerable changed lol. i dont get the whole im a pimp and i have hoes bit that seems to appear in all of the songs
alright. i dont wanna hear them so lets just end this now before anyone becomes mad and says something that they wouldnt have said unless they where mad, ok?:sunglasse
i like 50 cents shit. i like how he sings a lot of the choruses... and i liked mobb deep since they came out way back...
absolutly horrible, and yes ive heard the old 50 cent mix tapes and they suck ass too, lloyd banksis only "ok" and mobb deep was ill back in hte day I havent heard any new shit... although if they are on g units label now im sure they suck.
lol I dont respect thugs, I respect someone who built something from the ground up, 50 cent did not build anything, he happend to be born in a time when someone with no education and no musical talent can "spit a few dope rhymes" and make millions. Im not criticizing everyone in hiphop, some of them do seem to have some talent, but 50 cent does not. But hey at least he made it far enough in school that he was tought how to rhyme.
GgggGggGggGgg-G-U-NIT!!11!one1!!! 50's a fucking poser, don't even mix him and Mobb Deep in the same sentence. What a sell-out, him and that white-rapper-icon Eminem. What a couple of fakes. There's nothing wrong with real gangsta's becoming rap moguls...but seriously. Anyone listening to that Eminem-fronted BS needs to get their heads out of their ass. 50 sucks at rapping...Eminem has a decent flow, but his content is still so crap. Check out Tonedeff, Cunninlynguists, Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang, Busta Rhymes, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Method/Red...but 50 and Em? You're probably the same loosers that buy iPods. Learn to listen to real music, and eventually you'll realize that "Fiddy", Marshall, Diddy, Nas, Kanye, blah blah blah blah blah blah are all a bunch of trendwhores that you just scrap out money to so that you can go to middle school and say "I listen to <so and so>, I'm a gansta!11111one11!!1one!!1!!" 733+-bullshit. Don't even get me started on Snoop/Dre...what a fucking crock!
Yeah, because you're still paying for propietary MP3's...been bootlegging since MP3 was incepted. If you're paying for music, atleast get a decent music provider like Rhapsody or EMusic. Apple is falling apart...any search of Nano iPods, titanium Powerbooks, or the switch to Intel architecture should provide decent data to change providers. I recommend Diamond, Creative, or iRiver...in that order. All support standard MP3 format, as well as WMA, OGG, and several other audio formats (as well as video on the higher-end budget systems). They are not only more reliable, but are also more affordable than the iPod. I'lll make an iPod thread eventually, however, I wouldn't go throwing down $300 on a Nano until I've done all the research.
whoa whoa easy.... nas had some good shit back in the 90's .. and for that matter as much as I hate to say it... eminem had some decent shit back then also... check out low down dirty, tone is good so is cunninlynguists, cypress is cool as long as the only content your looking for is how much weed they have smoked from one album to hte next, wu was great back in the day, there last couple of albums sucked bone always been decent. also check out hieroglyphics, sould of mischeif, punch n words (humerous battle shit), gravediggaz... and more..
I'm an asshole when I'm drunk, sorry. 50's never produced anything worthy of my listening-to; Fabulous & Co. made a decent remix of "In Tha' Club," and his inclusion on Em's remix of "Hail Mary" was definitely a credit, but seriously... What does Marshall have to offer? "My Name Is", "Superman", "The Way I Am", "Lose Yourself". Dre serves some decently-hooky shit, especially off Chronic, though he really loses his touch on 2k1 when he starts catering to Em's music. When I say "content", I mean the ability to correlate one line to the next; B-Real performs this task extremely well, with hooks that are simply unmatched in popularity. Ask so many non-stoners if they've ever heard "I Wanna Get High", "Hits From the Bong", or "Insane in the Membrane." More than likely they've not only heard it, but can recall some of the lyrics. Add to this list "A to the K", "Tequila Sunrise", and "Rock Superstar", and you simply have a rapper unsurpassed in not only content, but lyrical ability. B-Real's voice is smooth and approachable, and I would much more likely cope with it than Eminem's whiney suburbanite-whiteboy moan or 50's standard-crackdealer parle. Just my $0.02.
