hey all. i have a 75 watt flourescent bulb in my 30 gal grow tub. i have 5 germinated seeds i just put in soil. i was wandering if the 75 watt lightbulb will be enough for the first week or two of the seedlings life. should i get another one in there to make it 150 watts? also, how long should i use the flourescent lights before switching to CFL's? thanks alot i just wanna make sure i got enough light to get them going. it is good to use flourescent lights with seedlings right...innstead of CFLs for the first few days/weeks? thanks again

Im assuming by flourescent light you mean the long tube ones. Where as CFL's are the spiral fluorescents.

If this is what you mean then i would say the 75W one should work, but the little seedlings do just fine under the CFL's.......i use CFL's to start my seedlings. I keep mine under the CFL's for 2-4 weeks and the growth is fine! Hope that helps.
