With the anniversary of the day Jerry left this earth coming up tomorrow I cant help but remember all the great times & great shows that I was privileged to be at thru the years- from Madison SQ.Garden NYC-TO Red Rocks in Colorado to Up & down the Ca.coast. Jerry & the boys brought me out of some very dark moments -especially in the mid 70,s to mid 80,s.
For the vibes that the Dead revived in me I am forever GRATEFUL.
It was always about the music for the band, when the scene change at the shows in the 90,s -they tried to remind us of that.
I for one, miss "The good ol'Greatful Dead" right to my core
    Until we meet again,thanks Jerry

Well , Once again August 9th is coming around & I cant help thinking about all the great times, great shows, and just the GReat sight & sounds of Ol, Jerry.

As I sit here and listen to a blazing version of " Not Fade Away"> 3/18/77 Winterland- Im thinking that 77 was a great year musically for the boys. One of my favorites - Of course, we all might have our favorite" little eras"- but we all have that commom denominator >>>>

    Miss ya Jerry :hat:

I was too young to have ever seen a live show with him, I can only imagine the magic.

Ill never forget were I was that morning I got the news. That man was an Icon (although he never wanted to be). I felt privileged to have seen the 10 or 11 shows I did ..and for yrs after he passed I had mixed feelings about the guy ..yeh, I was sometimes pissed that he let himself go ...I remember thinkin "it's over, ..and all because of you, You stupid drug addict-genius!"
Im so Grateful for the remaining 4 and the fact they still feel the need to play out. :grouphug:
