well after look over a few of the threads I find that rubberbands are not a good idea (thank goodness). How essential is sectioning, if I didn't section it before backcombing it would only mean the deads would be different sizes huh?? One more question, if I don't wash it will the oils work themselves out will my hair still knot up??

    thanks
    Peace

I didn't section, nor did I backcomb...all my dreadies are different sizes, yes, but that's what makes all of them their own and special. I like that they are all different...it gives them character...

Eventually, though...I think they all kind of find their own ways anyway...even if you do section.

At first, you'll need to wash...the oils will just stay there and make your hair stinky. Once your dreads dread up more, it won't require as much washing...not sure how it works, but it does LOL

Wash your dreads. Clean dreads knot faster than dirty oily ones.
