have any of you guys ever had negative effects after gettin your pets high? like did they spaz out or get sick or anything?
i been thinking about smoking my brothers cat out. i think she would enjoy it cuz she is old and sad cuz my brother left for college this year and we moved this year and so she has been through alot. all she does is sleep on top of the cable box on the big screen tv all the time. my mom says she lays up there constantly because the warmth feels good on ehr old bones. do you think the ganja would cheer her up any or something?

Catnip, go buy some, its like weed for cats. Infact its from the same breed of plants i believe! A guy at work told me there was an old cat like the one your described but when given catnip he went fucken nuts!

I agree give it some catnip or toys. Most cats really enjoy helium balloons...they like to play with the strings and they are very cheap.
Giving drugs to cats (or any animal) is just mean, if I ever knew that someone that lived by me did that, I would turn them in.

Then why the hell would you suggest giving them catnip?! That's cat-drugs, woman!

Yeah, try catnip first, and if you do decide to smoke the cat out, don't force it. If she stays around to breathe the smoke, cool. Don't force her to stay tho, that's not cool.

    hahaha such a weird idea...

makes me think of my aunt who dropped an effervescent aspirin in her fishies tank cuz they looked depressed... (yes, it kills them)
note that my aunt is now in a mental institute (i dunno if someone turned her in about the fishies...)

Um...lets see...because it's CAT nip...as in it's for cats....it's okay to give it to cats. You don't know what drugs will do to a cat, they are much smaller than a human.

Did I mention that cat nip is for cats? Did you get that yet?

catnip is a part of the mint family and humans can get high on it to just takes alot. ok now weed has the same effects on cats infact they are used as test animals for human medications. anyways should be a big deal not all animals like smoke though.

well just because it's called catnip doesn't mean it's "for cats"... most likely people noticed felines tripped out on the stuff and called it catnip. i doubt that as many studies as have been performed on cannabis have been done for catnip. scientists don't even know why felines react to catnip the way they do; animals can't talk and we assume they've having a blast.

i'm not saying "ban catnip!"... lol, i'm sure it's fine, but don't assume things about stuff you don't know. also, the term "drug"... what is catnip to a cat if not a drug?

"cat nip is for cats".... hahaha, yes, that's right, when the first garden was created, there was a row of minty catnip with the label, "this one's for the cats." :p

to actually answer the question *shifty eyes at everyone else*

i have a friend whose cat we got high on one occassion, and aside from being really weird, it was fine. It did however piss on his sofa about a month later and he had to get rid of it. I think he got it high on a few other occassions as well...

My boss at my old job would regularly hotbox his apartment with 6 cats in it. They are still all ok

I used to have a mouse that would run out and snag a piece of my stash if I left it out. If we sat still he'd show up and go for the weed every time. Maybe he was just building something with it, but I'm pretty sure he was makin little mouse snacks in the wall. Maybe that's why my cat left him alone. They worked out a trade.
