Ok now i'm new to this site, but if you want to post a new thread do you have to research to see if something like it is already written/asked? I mean do people get annoyed with the same shit being asked? some of the forums can be 20+ pages, and i know we have a search but do all of you search your subjects before you post?

    Thanks for helping a newb

Nah... just go ahead and post it. Your question can get lost in a big long thread, anyway.

Some questions get ask so often that they do get annoying, but who cares. If it's not on the first page just go for it. The worst that will happen is someone will say it's been posted before and/or show you where.

Often Searching for your topic will find an old thread as well, if it does and you have more ?'s about it, just reply to it and it will be a new thread.

If your question is about a particular subject try the Search feature : http://hipforums.com/forums/search.php?

This site is also heavily indexed by google spiders, you you can try on there as well... just go to http://www.google.com and after enter your search phrase type site:hipforums.com and it will find results from here only.

Most importantly though, some of the forums have a FAQ (Frequently asked questions) post or Sticky Posts for commonly asked questions, reading them can often help right away!

    Happy posting!
