This is the third song of a collection of songs that me and my band Revolution 27 are writing for our first concept album. It's about a man who falls in love with Aphrodite (his personal opinion on her, anyways) and spends many lifetimes finding her after she disappears. This song is the protaganist telling his Aphrodite that in a way that he believes that her love can solve all of his personal problems.

    Close your eyes…you’re an angel,

Or whatever you want to be

Close your eyes and float away,

To the sun and be next to me

I know this world can be cruel,

Cold and bitter as the moon

But I can turn away from that

When I see you sparkle at noon

what kind of band are you guys? this would sound good in a variety of styles, but my first thought was "bluesy."

my band is a combination of things, I can't really define it. Our ground genre is rock, though. I guess you could say that we're blues/jazz/prog/psychedelic/folk/reggae/raga rock.:)
