I cannot rid my mind of the ashes
    Of the distance of familiarity
    The water poisoned my head
I cannot sleep in my own bed
    A frozen-over factory of isolation
    Delirious and divine,
    What happened to my mind?

    Confusion at every corner
Eyes knocking on my front doorstep
She wouldn't answer to the stranger
But sewn with needle and thread
    Beautifully, she said
    I've cursed your head
You're better off with me and dead

A hungry Satan sitting by my side
Awaiting my passage for me to die
    But why
    Why am I still alive
The attic is desperate and dire
Is there no truth for a liar,
No ice for a roaring fire?

    But no
    I didn't go
    Her burning white eyes
Were just a tickle to my mind
    So back again
To the life I sincerely dread
It was the water that broke my head
