China is starting to talk about AI superintelligence, and some in the U.S. are taking notice China just announced they already have a quantum computer, right after the news hit that Oracle execs are being blackmailed, and now Alibaba is shedding light on their own cloud services, which compete with Oracle. Albaba is huge, like the article says, but really does cloud services, that is, in public. Alibaba is no competition for companies like Nvidia, but with the help of a quantum computer, they can dominate the internet and take down Amazon next. Such a computer can design entire webpages and internet services, using fuzzy logic, that makes the AI much more responsive.
Ooh boy, so they can throw more commercial bullshit in our faces. Things like Temu ads are almost there already. But because I don't allow my personal info to be fed to ad services, they can't target my demographic or geographic, so it's just a waste of energy. AI will be exploited and abused by corporations to further control everything we see, hear, buy, think. Can't wait... I suppose you could create or buy (rent!) your own AI to keep the other AIs at bay. But there won't be anything left...
