Does anyone else feel a connection between Weed and Acid?

In a way that Acid is similar to being stoned but way more intense. I get a lot of the same thoughts as I do being high on Weed as I do being high on Acid, unlike when I've taken other drugs and my thoughts and feelings are completely different.

Forgetting what I'm doing, being very simple in the way things can entertain me, enjoying music and visuals to the point of getting stuck in thought about them...

But without all the things moving and wiggling around or morphing into shapes.

My boyfriend thinks this too, what does everyone else think about it?

I dont think they are very similar, even though they are much more similar with eachother than they are with all other types of drugs

I have hallucinated from just smoking weed. I will agree the thought patterns can be very similar but the body highs are completely different

visually, completely different. I find the body high to be completely different. I can see the mental high as being similar with LSD being more intense.

For me, completely different thought patterns. With weed, I feel like my thought processes slow down. I still think, but I think deeply about the most inconsequential things - like the toaster, or the cushions on the couch, and 30 seconds later I can't remember what it was I was thinking about. I feel with acid that I'm thinking on a higher level, building more connections between synapses, relating things that I didn't relate before. A lot of things seem more clarified, make more sense...where as with pot, I get lost in tangles of languid thoughts. I'm more articulate and better to communicate, too, on LSD...even when I'm not speaking with my voice, if that makes sense. With acid, I don't get the receding feeling that I get with pot - like I'm receding from my normal viewpoint, like I'm standing further back and observing myself as well as what I observe in my normal state of consciousness. Instead, when coercing with Lucy, I get the feeling that my viewpoint is closer to everything than it has been before. For me, if drugs were a camera, weed would be the zoom out button and LSD would be the zoom in button.

All I can say is, I sort of expected that...UNTIL I tried it the other day. Absolutely different...acid gives you so much more control over yourself (at least at low-to-medium doses).

Conventional wisdom is, they're two completely different highs, as much of a trip as weed usually is for some of us.

Low doses of LSD are similar in SOME ways to marijuana, but this similarity ends at medium and higher doses when Lucy picks up your brain, shakes the cobwebs off, and flings you to alpha centauri.

Weed makes you stupid, acid makes you overwhelmed by clarity.

They are both hallucinogenic psychedelics. Same class, same drug type.

Let's not get into what cannabis actually "is" :). Some say psychedelic, some say depressant, there's no real consensus....

    They're completely different. Completely.
    I don't like weed. I love acid.

Herb definitley enhances awareness, but not in every sense like acid does.
With herb, certain things begin to make so much sense and I can wrap my mind
around a concept completley. But with acid, its like an explosion of realizations,
often too many to even hold on to.
And herb brings me paranoia, LSD sets me free. I prefer beer over pot, personally.

the first time i cooked weed into brownies, was the only time i've actually tripped from it. i ate nearly a full eighth, my gf ate 2 of the 16 brownies. it was unlike any other trip i've had, including acid.
i do know the feelings you are talking about, although i just attributed it to being stoned while tripping.
also, for a day or two after a strong trip, smoking weed brings much of the feelings of tripping back for me. i've noticed that from acid, shrooms and x

^totally. A large oral dose of weed (as in brownies) does lead to quite a psychedelic experience. It's nothing like an acid experience, though. It's not very pleasant, in my opinion, but I really don't like weed anymore.

Don't believe me? Stop smoking for awhile. Let you tolerance go down, and then bake up some super dank brownies. Eat them all. Make sure you don't have anything planned for a couple days.

The only time I ever ate herb, well actually that a lie I've eaten it 3 times, but the best time my friend made 4 giant cookies with 1/4 mixed of m39 and red rooster that he had shipped from Cananda (didnt believe it at first either), and me and the other 3 people ate one each and went to see Steve Howe solo show in S. Philly on Steve's birthday.
Needless to say, best concert Ive ever been to, and I wasnt even 21 at the time so I had no alcohol :cheers2: I was high before, during, and well into the morning after

Relayer, would you say that there was any psychedelic nature to the experience? For me, a heavy oral dose of cannibus is quite psychedelic. Not visually so much, but mentally.

True, but I see weed as a door, a door to yourself.

    Mentally without a doubt!
I was dropping freestyles in a car ride after eating a cookie like words were just floating in the atmosphere and coming to me naturally. I was playing guitar as if I had invented the thing lol.
And then, your brain just gets completley burned out and your like "whaaat?! I play this thing, right?"
