Acid was put here as a joke..?

I don't quite know how to phrase this but what happens if acid was just put here as a sick joke. Acid has kind been known as that one drug, that mystical self enlightening drug, and in a way imo has been put on a pedestal. So what happens if it was put here by what ever greater being that controls the universe, as a joke. For us to finally think that the answers may somewhere lie in this "trip" but really it's whole purpose was to just confuse us and all this time we've been taking it way too seriously...thoughts? Opinions?

 

I dont belive in greater beings. I belive that everyone one is an indavidual. But were all somehow connected.

 

I think its an interesting take. I don't believe so much in a divine plan or a greater power in the sense that you mean it. I believe in chemistry and the holographic paradigm.

I don't think LSD is a wonder drug and that it will enlighten those who want to be enlightened. Nor do I think its something a person should take just to get "fucked up."

The idea that it all may be a cruel joke? Shit... that'd be one cruel fucking joke.

elover I completley understand your question, and I agree with your thought. Not only is LSD a joke, the whole collection of macrocosmic multiverses are grand jokes in themselves. After all, who should take a dream seriously knowing that eventually you will wake up?

I don't know if I'd call him a higher power, but okay.

 

its true, it is, its a glimpse into a greatter reality, but from a very distorted perspective
drugs will never take you there, only allow you to peek through the window
unfortunately the windows are staained glass.. alotta pretty colors and distorted shapes and forms but never a clear picture of whats beyond

theres a story ram dass likes to tell after spending some time with the (i'll butcher the spelling) maheraji hed started talking about his many years of lsd experiences and how hed come to glimpse the spiritual world through this drug..
the maharaji was intrigued and wanted to try it..ram was concerned because he was pretty old and frail but after some convincing decided to let him, he pulled out a handful of pills (think about who ram tripped with and the power of the lsd in the day) he knew just 1 would be plenty to cause a powerful trip
but before he could even pick one out maharaji had taken the entire handful
ram sat and watched and waited..maharaji meditated as usual and went about his normal routine...
and...nothing happened..not a thing
manny hours later ram asked him what he was experiencing from the pills and all he said was hed had a mild headache
ram then asked why he wasnt tripping and he replied "do you take a bus to boston if your already in boston?" (my memmory maybe lil off on ecxact words and details but thats the gebneral story)
anyway, basicly it means the guru was unafected by the drug because he was already in that high state the drug attempted to approximate

According to William Cooper most if not all drugs are tools of the government and Free Masons to keep people preoccupied. The Silent War. And there's a quantifiable correlation between the likelihood a person will use a 'drug' and the cost of gas. Thought I'd throw that in there.

I wouldn't completly agree, at first it is just lovely colors and geometrical shapes and you are just seeing windows but later you can be in that other world on acid. The problem rises when you want to constantly live with that world connected together with the fizical world. You can't be just on acid all the time . So that is when you start meditating. In order to be there you have to feed yourself constantly with meditation, yoga, different readings, etc. Practice, practice is all it takes.

I wasn't calling him a higher power. I was saying higher power assuming that most people here believe in some sort of "god"

 

I want to mention that I'm not trying to imply that I'm against the use of lsd, or think it's stupid...if I could get acid more often then I would be doing more

 

In reality, even he did not put acid here, he simply manipulated the structure of certain chemicals and unlocked the potential of what was already put here.
