Adderall/weed and a seizure, and a question.

Yesterday i was chillin at a finds house and he pulled out his pipe and we smoked a bowl of nugs. I had forgotten that i had taken my adderall that morning. When i take adderall and smoke its usually not a good idea for me to smoke very much, but i had forgotten and smoked to much. Then after we smoked the bowl i started to feel lightheaded and felt like i was going to throw up. I didn't wan't to look like a pussy so i just suddenly interupted my friend and said i had to go home. Then as soon as i stood up i started to get an extreme head rush, but i didn't think much about it. I just figured it would go away like it always does, but i was wrong. I started fadding in and out of the blackness, sort of like a trobbing. Then i started to lose my balance and grabbed his bedrail. My legs started shaking like crazy, wobling all around. I remember my friend say, "whats wrong, you allright man." And then he ran over and grabbed me to make sure that i didn't his my head. Next thing i remember is him saying was, "whats wrong?", and then i opened my eyes and said, 'I've never had that happen before. For the next few minutes i felt like complete shit, and i was really thursty. I stared having intense hallucinations, and i thought that was weird. Then i looked down to see if i pist myself and sure enough i did. I felt like a fucking idiot. So after some water and recouperation, i desided i'd go home.

I've never had a seizure before this, and obviously the bowl and i'm pretty sure the adderall with it is what caused it. I'm planning on taking nine hits of acid saterday, and i'm wondering if anyone knows if it would be alright to take them then, or wait? Because i'm affraid it might trigger another seizure. Can anyone help?

 

9 hits of acid after an incident such as this, does NOT sound like a wise decision.

 

yeah that probably was not a seizure, more like a panic attack, your mind can trigger some insane levels of anxiety, and yes taking more drugs will not help, if you are still nervous or get panic attacks when your high or sober you may need some theorpy, just relaxe and dont worry about it

But i wasn't anxious at all, and do you piss yourself during a panic attack? It may not have been a seizure, but my friend said i was going into convulsions.

I really do believe it might have been a toic clonic seizure because i just read up on that and that fits the description. Though i wasn't anxious at all, and if anything my friend was way more anxious then me. For the most part i wasn't conscious, and i don't think panic attacks presist if one is unconscious but i might be wrong about that. And no i don't take anything besides adderall as a prescription.

 

That's crazy shit about the panic attacks. It's intense to think about all the different things your body can do at a moment's notice, with seemingly no triggers, simply because there's a little bit extra of a chemical here or there. Really goes to show how delicate the balance in your body can be.

in my oppinion it was not a seizure. ive had that happen to me jsut smoking weed. you start blacking out and vibrating and losing control of your body and stuff. i cant say my experience was exactly the same but it was an experience ive been able to match to many people's physical adverse affects to weed.

marijuana prevents seizures. the only thing that sounds seizure like is that your legs started shaking but that happened to me in my incident.

i think the adderall just exerberated a problem and made it fucked up.

important: what time did you take your adderall, what sort was it, what time did you smoke, and how much did you smoke, and what were you doing when it started hitting you.

all these details are important. otherwise youre postulating around huge numebr of possible ailments

doesnt sound like a panic attack at all to me. especially if you had the rationality to go home when you felt it coming on, instead of going shit shit hist whats happening fuck man help me.

honestly, youve not provided much information unfortunately if you want proper advice.

and i dont think taking acid is going to bring any of that back, just dont take 9 hits (duh) and dont take adderrall unless its a small dose.

also do you take lots of adderrall or is it just a here and there thing for studying or when you need it? like are you on the XR all day most days?

 

Well i've been taking adderall pretty much everyday for two years because of my ADD, and it helps more then i can say, although it has disadvantages, i think the positive benefits outweigh the negative. I take 20mgs of XR. That day i took it at 7:00am and smoked the bowl at like 7:00pm, which i still have the effects of it that much later, yet not really the stimulation. I think it was mostly the weed that did it, but i don't think it would have happened if i didn't take adderall. When i've been taking adderall consecutively for many days, i don't even have to be on it that hard at the time i smoke in order to be really fucked up. Also i smoked way more then i should have that time, but i've always just got real sick when i did, and one time i throughup. Though i've never had that happen before at all. Also i hadn't eaten that much that day. All these things like being tweaked of adderall, smoking to much, and not eating right, together are probably what caused this. Why do you say this is probably not a seizure? Isn't that the perfect explaination of one like pissing myself and shaking around. I looked it up yesterday and a tonic clonic seizure fit the description quite well. But i could be wrong. What else could it be?

And why not take nine hits? Whats wrong with that? I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. I mean what could go wrong besides triggering another one of those damn things?

 

I took a bunch of adderall for an AP exam last year and then smoked a lot of weed and it was pretty fucked up. I started tweekin out big time but nothing like what you described. Not a good thing to make a habit of.

 

this exact thing happened to me on my 16th. Except no addies. A bunch of us were chillin in my basement smoking many bowls and after an an hour or two decided to have one out on my porch. We were standing up and having a cig smoke afterwards. It was a cold and breezy night and i started losing my vision and seeing just black. I started shaking like crazy and fell to the ground, my friend dragged me back inside and i threw up. Was sorta out of it the rest of the night. I felt bad though cause i freaked the shit out everyone. I had a beer aswell but i dont believe it had anything to do with it.

 

could've also had a hypoglycemic episode, ie: you pulled a whitey =p

 

it sounds to me like you were just realy high, like once me and a two of my friends were smoking and i took a huge hit and i just lost my balance and when i was on the ground i could tell i wasnt in the right mind because when i would try to get up i would just push myself up with my hands and pull them off of the ground and just let my head hit the ground i wasnt trying to do this but i did it like 8 times and the last time i went so high when i hit the ground i hit it so hard that my head started bleeding, i was some what concious i could see but there was a black fuzzy glare around my eyes whenever i looked at somthing, and i too take adderall but i didnt think it had anything to do with it i just thought i was supper high

 

yea i had that black fuzz thing to, and since you took adderall i'd say that ups the chances of what that was.

Also i took that acid yesterday and did just fine, except i felt all buttery. I know that doesn't make sense, but that is by fare the best word i can use to describe the way i felt.

 

man i had monets were i almost blackout. but thrn i usually snap out of it. scares the shit out of me too, and the people i'm with.

 

man tonic-clonic seizures sounds like thats what it was. my brother has had this happen three times when he was real high. he would just get nervous and usualy he says hes about to pass out then he falls. when i was with him i grabbed him and he just started shaking and was supper tense. his jaw was locked and i forced it open so he could breathe then suddenly he stopped shaking and was dead asleep, i thought he had died on me for a second, and then he woke up. nice work on finding the specific seizure. after that shit happened and i thought my brother had just died in my arms i searched the web for days trying to figure out what happened. it seems to only happen when he gets realy high but no matter how much i look i cant find anything on weed triggering a seizure just that it helps most seizures. now that i have a better idea about what kind it might be im gonna talk to my doc and see what he says. hope my info helps u out too but im pretty sure your right cause the way u described it was almost just like my bros
