ok, so i've got this tat on my r shoulderblade that is pretty cool... i love the flames, but i'm not so thrilled about the ram symbol part of it (i'm an aries), i think it looks dumb. and anyways, i'm just kinda bored with the tattoo. so i just designed an addition for it, which is all the symbols of my entire natal chart (astrology birth chart) which tells exactly where all the planets were at the time of my birth. which i think is pretty badass. so here's what it'll look like, around my current tattoo. whatcha think??
dean... that pic is a bit smaller than it'll end up being on me. it's not to scale yet. i think it's about 1/2 - 1 in. smaller in diameter, so the symbols will end up being a bit bigger. but do you mean all the symbols or just the outer rim, the zodiac symbols, or the smaller ones for planets and houses? the size (and getting it all to fit right, lol) have been my main concern with designing this.
typical behaviour of arieses, lol :smilielol5::rofl: is a feasible thing to tattoo over a tattoo? i mean tattooing black over red? that ram would also make a nice demons head with some changes. i could make a sketch.
mostly the zodiac symbols... as long as those are in proportion you could get away with other smaller symbols. when are you getting it done??
lol... what are you saying about us arieses? yeah, you can tattoo black over any color. i have stars on my hips, to cover another ugly tattoo. now mind, i'm not saying this is an ugly tattoo. i quite like the idea, and i love the flames. but the ram symbol i have tattooed is not exactly the prettiest aries symbol i've ever seen. that's the part that really is ugh to me. but the thing is, i'm not as much bored with it, as i am ready to change it a bit, because i was done at a very VERY different part of my life, and it doesn't really reflect who i am at the moment. during that period i was very aggressive, and the symbology fit. since, i have had a lot of spiritual awakening going on, and i want something that is so deeply a part of me as my astro sign to really reflect who i am. and thanks for the offer of a drawing, but i am really not so much into demons. yeah, i might make them a little larger in proportion to the other symbols. i was wondering about that myself, if they stood out enough, because all the other symbols are almost as big as the zodiacs. i'll get it done as soon as i have some money... which means getting a better paying job, lol! it'll probably coincide with becoming certified as a massage therapist, and starting work as one. which will be a cool milestone to celebrate with it, since it's a new career and symbols of a new way of life for me.
don't do it. wait till inspiration strikes... if you have a tattoo you don't like now, chances are you might make the same sort of mistake again if you're too moody with your body art... wait it out and get something that sings with your soul.
for sure. get it done if it makes you feel warm n fuzzy. i personally think you should add on to this whole idea. check out http://spectraleyes.com! perhaps some of Luke Browns ideas will help you out as much as they inspire my creativity.
