Hello, I am a college student who has from the end of April until the beginning of September to tend to my garden. I go back to school at the beginning of September, which is about 2 hr drive from where I will be planting. This means after September I will only be able to tend to the garden once a week.

What are some very fast finishing strains that I could take advantage of? I read in Cervantes's horticulture book that there are some strains that finish by the end of August but that seems unreasonable.

Any help is appreciated, remember I am looking for strains that will finish by the end of September tops, earlier the better.

I am around 42 degrees north latitude.

Well I just ordered a few beans, I will probably get some more before I plant. I really don't have a lot of time to tend to these ladies so I am going for quantity and hopefully I will end up with a descent crop.

The seeds I ordered were a 10 pack of Hindu Kush from Nirvana seeds on seed boutique. In Mr. Cervantes's growers bible he says that these strains finish very fast, usually by the end of September so I think I will be fine.

If you have grown Hindu Kush outdoors feel free to give a younger gardener some tips, thanks!

If you germinate and veg your plants say 3-4 weeks before you put them in the ground you'll be that much farther ahead of the game.

Say the last hard frost at 42 latitude is March 20th then if you had them already vegged up to say 24" tall and 4 weeks old, they might harvest a little earlier. The thing about outdoor grows is that the sun dictates when they mature, not us! Nature has her own schedule.

All we can do is tweak the timing a bit.

Starting indoors is not an option for me, this grow is 100% guerrilla. I will be able to see them daily throughout the summer so I will do everything I can to get them prepped and somewhat self sufficient by September.

Once school starts I will probably see them about twice a week until harvest. Each time I visit it is $50.00 worth of gas though >.<
