Well I live in a pretty rural small southern town so the answere here is to go to the parents, tell them of the little bastards behavior and then if it happens again you go back to the parents house and grab them by the throat and kick the living shit out of them.

 

Then after you kick the shit out of the parents you tell the child if they do it again you will take thier lives.

There are some little bastards like the ones you mentioned who catch one of my buses and nobody ever stands up to them, because they don't want the kids to turn on them. First guy who ever did had down syndrome, told them if they said a racist comment to one more person he'd throw them off the bus and they we're quiet as mice for the rest of the trip. So one disabled guy was more enabled than anyone else on the bus could ever be.

well, the disabled guy had one up on the little fuckers. if they went to the cops, or their parents, they'd have gotten their evil little heads smacked. i'd go to the parents, or even the cops. won't do them any lasting harm if you go to the cops, but it might just scare them enough to make them at least physically behave. name calling will probably never end. but that's nothing.

what kind of advice were you looking for here? did you want us to say go ahead and beat the shit out of the little fuckers? Thats what I would have done, but telling you that and then you acting on it might cause me to be an accessory to assult or murder.

Its pretty assumptuous go ask such a question in RT and get prissy when we don't give you the advice you want. We don't know these kids, or you, so why don't you use some god damn intuition.

 

Unfortunately, if the child is behaving in that manner, going to his parents probably won't accomplish much, because, well, if he's acting that way in the first place, I don't think he's being taught well by the parents to begin with. Heck, the parents might be even worse and give you more grief.

However.

If I found out that one of my kids were doing something like that? Wait. That's not going to happen because they know better. But if for some reason they did? They'd be in a heap of trouble, I can tell you that much. I won't put up with my children treating others that way. Uh-uh, no way. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

That being said, the person I am, I would confront this little gang of children, yes, they are children, they're only 8 years old. You should not let a gang of 8 year old hooligans intimidate you. I would not belittle, harass or use foul laungage, but I'd tell them point blank the next time they did something like that, I'm going to have their little butts hauled off to JJC.

 

well, the best of parenting doesn't always ward off the bad behavior of children. there could be any number of reasons why they're acting out hostily. all i know is that there's really nothing she can do personally for it besides talk to the parent or move.

 

True, there could be other issues at bay as far as the children and their hostility. I guess I'm just going by personal experiences I've had with children behaving certain ways and then finding out their parents aren't much better.

Going to the parents could help, or make things worse. You never know until you try I guess.

I think she's right about the parents not caring. I have learned that the majority of the kids who behave that way towards people, do so because they have bully type parents who act that way to others in front of the kids.
Sure, it's not always the parent's fault when kids act out, but I'd say probably 7 out of 10 kids who act that way just receive encouragement to do so by their mother and father.
The problem lies in tracking down the kid's parents, I'm sure.
Get a big mean looking dog and carry it with you.
If you are disabled, you can probably even take it into shops with you.
Doesn't matter that you're not blind, most people won't say anything to you out of respect.
I don't know what the laws allow, but since beating the shit out of them is outright illegal, maybe picking one up by the shirt is enough to scare the little fucker into giving in.
Then again, you'd have a whole other mess of problems when his father decides to play bad ass and hunt you down for it.
Are stun guns still legal? You wouldn't have to use it, just let them know you have it.

 

they could actualy be older then they look too. i don't have any better answers then those already mentioned. there was a bunch like that used to come into this museum where i worked all the time. two of them lived accross the street and their father was in jail. the oldest claimed to be 11 (and looked younger). which he continued claiming to be for at least six years that i know of. (haven't seen em in a while, but he's probably still claiming to be 11)

(last time i saw em, it was a couple of years after i'd last docented over at the carnigie, they were pushing jesus freekism, or pretending to be, could never tell which with this bunch, but at least they had mellowed a little. they were still ridding arround on bikes they'd probably just stollen off of some other little kids. if the mafia has an f.f.a. that's them, that's how it seems to me. comes with the territory of a culture that romantacizes and rewards aggressiveness though. does as far as i can see.)
