Who here is sick of age being an issue in life...you are always either too young or too old... what is the best age to be?
I dont think of an age so much as just a general time in my life..i cant wait til after I get married and have a lil 3 year old running around!
oh ya? LOL, it's not all it's cracked up to be. d'ya know how to remove permanent marker? back to the OP, i'm a big believer in being in the moment. any age is a great age, as long as you are fully present.
I'm kinda sick of people believing that all young'ins are stupid.... which is partially true. Some ppl. just don't have the experience. At the same time, some people do have experience... uhm.. don't know.
I kind of like being in my early twenties.. although being a bit older and out of school would be nice. I'd like the chance to actually *be* something instead of *studying to be something* !!!! I hated been a teen for the most part - nothing like getting followed through stores... because ALL TEENAGERS STEAL *rolls eyes* All I can say is those days were full of people making assumptions about me based on my age, which is such crap. It's like the scene from Pretty Woman, when Julia Roberts gets snubbed from the store because she's a hooker... so she spends her money (loads of it) elsewhere then comes back to the snobstore and says "You work on commission, right? Big mistake. BIG mistake." Haha ... I felt like doing that so much when I was younger, because I always felt like we were being hassled, even if it was just in the silent glare that says "I'm watching you, punkass. My finger's already on the security button."
OlHippie, do you really feel that way? What's cool about it? *not being condescending, I'm actually curious* What's 50 look like?
So you're all chillaxin over there? Water off a duck's back? Screw my thirties and fourties, I'm joinin olhippie over at 50 baby whoohoo!
i think ppl still judge you in your twenties, but i'm told i look a lot younger than i am by a lot of people..i find a lot of so called mature ppl are extrememyl narrowminded and try to lace me with their conventions. my mum has always said that the thrities were the best... I think if your younger than someone and you say something they dont understand they ignorantly try to box you in because they think you're less experienced...that's only some ppl of course. i like to remember what it was like to be that age when i deal with ppl younger than me, it helps relate and not alienate...that sounds like a really corny slogan! hahaha
For some reason when my mother turned 30 she thought she was "over-the-hill" some "old has-been". She is now 57 and the yrs haven't been good to her, so she really is an old over-the-hill has-been. But I've known other ladies in their 60's & 70's that were still pretty cool and independent. Age should be just a number, not something to get ya down.
