Alcohol vs Ritalin

I'm is trying to figure out which widley available drug lowers social inhibitions better, has a better euphoria, and more mind expanding. Ritalin is extremly stimulating and I hear that it is far less damaging than cocaine or the amphetamines. In fact I have read that it has the effects of cocaine but only about the same risks as soft stimulants like caffeine and MDMA.

I love ritalin........it is far better than rum.......even though I love rum.

Which substance is better for

1. Euphoria

2. Increased Loss of Inhibitions resulting in super social powers!

3. Which of the two is safer?

4. Which is more mind expanding?

 

neither are mind expanding.... alcohol overall is just a stupid pointless drug... buuut i think it does increase social interaction more than any other drug out there.. even more than pot.. usually if im high im either not talking to anyone or talking to everyone.. alcohol.. i become a social butterfly

 

I might have to bring up an argument here, that a straight dose of opiates that doesnt overwhelm might bring out empathy and social interaction more so than any drug out there, maybe even more so than E

 

neither!!!!! especially NOT for mind expanding. if you want to use drugs for mind expansion smoke weed or trip out on lsd or dmt or something like that.

ritalin did nothing for me besides help me tolerate a boring & unfullfilling job. my doctor said "we are altering your brain to suit your life" i thought...hmmm....why not alter my life to suit my brain? i quit the boring job, became an artist & smoked a shit load of weed, did shrooms & now lsd. WAY more fun, fullfilling and no physical side effects besides wonderful ones.

ritalin & alcohol are poison.

when i decided to quit the ritalin this guy at school offered to buy the rest of it off me. he took it and puked blood. be careful with that shit...i use the word shit literally here.

This thread is nasty!!! It stinks of inexperience and serious potential harm. Have you ever researched Ritalin, Silverbackman?
It's a stimulant, not a tryptamine. It doesn't expand the mind - it speeds it up. Are you aware of previous deaths related to recreational use of ''Kiddie E''?
If you want to break down the barriers and lose inhibitions, Ritalin will only make you feel like a grain of sand on a beach during the comedown.
Methylphenidate is physically addictive when it's being used as a buzz drug rather than treatment, and large quantities have horrible side effects. Purely psychosis inducing if you're buzzing on these man. It'll get you sooner or later.
MDMA is what you're looking for. Have you done any research? From what I've read in your post, MDMA looks like it fits your criteria. It has a psychedelic factor which can produce the user with a mind opening feeling, going through chemical 'trips' (*rolls*) at the same time as feeling on top of the moon; and there's your stimulant effect too which quite frankly PISSES all over anything Ritalin can do for you.
Super Social powers? Sounds like you need councelling mate, and a better understanding of the substances you're talking about coz you're barking up the complete wrong tree.

Alcohol gets you pissed and lets you have a laugh, maybe even feeling more socially confident.. but it's a dead end substance in all fairness.

You need telepathic non-linguistic communication with a mushroom for the expanding mind.

Alcohol trumps Ritalin in the social aspect of it. There arent many things that make me open up as much as when I'm tanked (with the exception of E and a few others).

I vote for alcohol.

Ritalin (Methylphenidate) is just an overall shit drug. I've only tried it twice, but both times have sucked ass. Yeah, its cool for a while, and I feel nice, but the comedown TOTALLY negatives any positive aspects of the drug. The come-down on ritalin is complete shit, I am totally anti-social, strung-out, muscles tense up, cant get comfortable, jaw clenching etc etc... I totally agree with PsyGrunge that anyone looking for a stimulant/social/pyschedelic drug should stop fucking with all these OTC or prescription medications and just pick up some fuckin MDMA. You will thank us later.

On the other hand, alcohol has a shitty come down too I suppose (the hangover), but I only drink at night, so I'm crashed on the couch before I really start getting hung over. And at least sleep comes easy on alcohol, on Ritalin, its fucking impossible. The alcohol hangover is most often curable with aspirin and water (assuming you didnt drink TOO much), the comedown off Ritalin makes me depressed and hate life.

Ritalin is shit. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar. Fuck Ritalin.

 

Four Winds - obviously you know what the Ritalin comedown is like. It's total hell, aye! Maybe you went down the foolish experimental recreational road I went down a few years ago.. would you agree that it is definitely psychosis inducing??
Also, the most I got off on was about 56 (taken in sets of 12) throughout the day. I swear I went through the symptoms of ADHD for knocking on a week. It was like going through the stages of a pre-fix for death, mate.

1. alcohol (in the right atmosphere, setting for Ritalin doesn't matter much--some people find it fun alone).
2. alcohol (since when did Ritalin reduce inhibitions?)
3. Dose dependent. If driving, etc. then Ritalin is far safer.
4. Neither are mind expanding. Drunk people rely on their pre-existing programs, learn nothing new, and the experience is unclear. It can get people talking and in a better mood, so used judiciously in proper setting it may be slightly mind expanding...however nothing like a psychedelic. Ritalin, like other stimulants can facilitate certain kinds of brain activity. It is not like opening a window to a new world or cleansing the soul. Taking it once is highly unlikely to change your perspective, any mind expansion is from dilligent work and thinking over time; more often the case it shrinks your mind. To reiterate my answer for question 4: neither are mind expanding.

I love ritalin for my adhd, but other than that it's usless imo. alcohol more or less turns you into an idiot, can be fun sometimes....

 

I haven't tried pineapple weed, but have you tried New York Diesel, Rocqer Haze or the almighty Jack Herer's homegrown variety?
I've had white widow, of course.. It's a very common breed.
Opium ain't all it cracked up to be and very addictive so wouldn't be hammering that stuff if I was you - but yeah, Opium's in me list of things done. But I'm not comparing smoke here.
My point is that saying you've smoked the best weed ''in the world'' is not only foolish and ignorant; it's a straight up fucking lie.

 

It's not a lie, depending how you look it. Living in Northern California.......I'm going to be getting the finest herb in the world. If you live in Holland, British Columbia, or Northern California your going to have some the finest herb all the time no matter what. Though getting schwag weed isn't unheard for inexperianced mothafuckas. Tried all the onest you stated but only really like Jack Herer.

Opium is okay in moderation of course. If you mix it good with the weed then it tastes awesome as well. And while opium does have good potential for addiction......it is no where near that of nicotine.......which I don't like (nicotine that is).

Hey dude don't call weed dope........we has little to no effect on dopamine. Just wanted to point that out . Call it a cannaboid, and call psychedelics a serotoninoid.

BTW, AMT doesn't seem cause nearly as much impairment as other psychedelics.......my text is very readable and creative!

 

I'd call psychedelics 'tryptamines', and dope is a common street name for weed.
Pot, Weed, Smoke, Dope, Ganj, Herb, Green, Leaf, Reef, Spliff - all used as street names for cannabis.
I am perfectly aware that it is a cannabinoid!!
