My current boyfriend is starting to remind me very much of my old boyfriend. He lives for partying; for feeling good; for living in the moment. He used to be thoughtful and caring; now he just hangs out with other people all the time, and me... well, I get to have sex and give massages. Same with the last guy. Why am I saying this?!? Maybe just to get it off my chest. Are there any guys anywhere who STAY thoughtful and caring even after they've been dating as long as a year? I know, the answer is yes, but... gah, it doesn't seem like it sometimes! After the old boyfriend dropped out of school, and mostly self-destructed to make me feel bad, this kind of hurts. I know Steve wouldn't self-destruct to make me feel bad, but what he's doing now just reminds me of old bad times. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

you're 17... most guys are pretty darn self-centred until their mid twenties or so. Of course there are the golden gems of a guy that you should hunt for, because being appreciated and loved is definately worth it.

see here is the thing, im one of the hidden jems they talk about. since i was 16 thats all ive wanted was a relationship, not just a girlfriend. i guess its either that im more mature or that ive been burned or turned down one too many times. give him a swift kick in the ass and let him know whats goin on. if that wont do the trick keep on lookin, i know i am cause alot of women r the same way.

Thanks, guys. Things will always turn out for the better, eh? I wish I could skip forward to age 26 or so and see how different things are then.
