alt-J - An Awesome Wave (2012)

Holy shit, this is one of the best bands I have heard in recent times. They have only been together as a band for about five years, but just a few months ago released their debut album, An Awesome Wave. Basically, it is art pop that is rather quirky, but very melodically and rhythmically complex. Some people are put off by the vocals, which sound a bit like Thom Yorke singing like Joanna Newsome, but I quite like them. If I had to try to describe what these guys sound like, they sound a bit like Radiohead meets Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear but with better rhythms and melodies than any of the aforementioned. Yet these guys have entirely their own sound, and their album is so consistently good throughout its duration that it's something you really need to hear for yourself. I didn't really love this album until after about five listens. It is one of those albums that grow on you with repeat listens.

We have designed a music video for the band Alt J's song called MATILDA.

The story is about a Singing Sensation who achieves Platinum, and rises to Celebrity Status, but eventually loses her way in the dark path of drugs/alcohol/depression. This is for Matilda.
