in about a week and a half, i'm going to be set up with an ambulatory eeg monitor, for three days. it doesn't come off for a second in those three days.
i'm being tested to look for seizures, or evidence of other brain issues.
the past few months i have been smoking at least once or twice a day (sometimes more) as it's helped me a lot with the pain i experience with the as-yet undiagnosed problems i'm having.
from what i've read, it sounds like smoking will have an affect on the readings of the monitor, but what i'm trying to find out is whether it would be a problem or not? like if i were to smoke, could it interfere with a reading that could help get a diagnosis? or if it might skew the readings and make them think i might have a problem i don't actually have?

idk, this is probably a silly question, its just that i hate how uncomfortable i'm going to be if i can't smoke, so i wanted to know if anyone has experience or knows anything about this whole deal.

(ps: this is basic info on the test: http://www.webmd.com/epilepsy/electroencephalogram-eeg-21508)
