Anonymous has just announced a War Against the System, Phase I. This video kicks it off, asking for everyone to learn more about what's happening, become self-sufficient, and join the movement.

They are targeting "low priority" targets that have violated freedoms online and offline. Phase II begins in five months, once more people have joined the movement.

Spread the video! The RESISTANCE IS HERE!

I've been waiting for this to happen. After the recent newsworthy actions taken by Anonymous, it seems they've been playing the media game well. If they can stay on the front page for a few months, they'll really gain traction.

And because it's a fight against the "system", just like we had in the 60s & 70s, it's not a specific war against any one gov't or corporation. And since the "warriors" are anonymous, it will be hard for them to fight back. Although the mass arrests they've started doing might deter some, the PUBLICITY from the arrests and the actions of Anonymous are likely to recruit hundreds if not thousands more people including hackers to join their movement...

    POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Thanks for that link OZ! It's hilarious! They're attacking FBI related sites!

Here's the text of their message:
I assume it's OK to copy and paste their info from their site, since that's exactly what they want us to do, spread the word. They're against copyright law enforcement anyway (I'm not, btw).

how fucking awesome. I just got so excited over this that I let out a little war cry.

I love what they say towards the end of the video about using art to spread resistance.

They have indeed been very busy at Lulzsecurity.com

You can see more actions they've taken, and even view the data they stole at:
    http://lulzsecurity.com/releases/

I see their server is in the Bahamas. Humm, I wonder how difficult it would be for the US to shut them down? I presume they have backups, just in case...

I just read somewhere that the US has now declared that hackers are terrorists. So all countries friendly to the US must suddenly view them the same? The US makes law for the world, doncha know...

Who is being "terrorized?" I'd sure like to know. And exactly what is that definition of terrorist? How does that line up against the definition for "Freedom Fighter", which is exactly what these people doing the hacking are advocating! More freedom, less control from corporations and gov'ts.

I was just wondering whether LulzSec and Anonymous are having a friendly competition to see who can do more actions to stay in the public eye and get more momentum going for the REAL movement of the people for more freedom.

Wow, the Hacker News keeps coming today!

Check it out! Anonymous announces they're going to hack the Malaysian gov't tonight!

    http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/104...ration-malaysia-lulzsec-opens-hacker-hotline/

    The target is:
www.Malaysia.gov.my beginning at 1930 GMT on Wednesday.

And LulzSecurity has a hotline where you can pick a target for their next hack. The phone # is 614-LulzSec.

I would definitely think twice before calling that number! You can be sure it's monitored now, if not a sting itself.

I'm moving this to the Revolution forum.

Apparently the Cyber Revolution has begun today!

Major Malaysian Gov't websites still down!

I'm not seeing ANY MSM reports on this actually happening (as opposed to a few who said this might happen).

Is this news being censored by the US gov't, and why? It will certainly come out tomorrow so why the ban on reporting?

What a shame, Anonymous is desperate after the recent arrests and are now trying to spring an attack before it all comes crumbling down. Not for the lack of a righteous cause, but from the lack of supporters/followers for the group. The fear that they have struck in the elite has unfortunately carried to the people they are trying to wake up. I respect their cause but it's a shame it probably wont go far.
