I will start with a European city starting with an 'a'. The next poster has to post a city from the Americas starting with a 'b', next is Asia and 'c', Oceania and 'd', Africa and 'e', Antarctica and 'f' and then it is back to Europe with 'g'. Have fun!
Find me the thread in which I did that 'game' before and you can moderate away all you want in this thread.
Most people don't have an Asian character keyboard, and it was known as Calcutta for many years so thats gotta count for a point.
sorry I'm playing in English you ca feel free to play in a different language. By the way i hope you are a hot geography professor and not just a snob.
Calcutta is an English name, given to the city in India. It has other names in other languages, just as Koln is Cologne. Most countries that use an indigineous alphabet also have anglicised their place names on street signs and maps using the roman alphabet. Partly this is due to the huge variances in spellings and languages over these countries and areas; the same way that Western placenames have huge variances according to the dialect spoken.
