another thread, alcohol and mushrooms...

didn't find anything on the search, and erowid only had a few reports.

how do people find drinking alcohol on mushrooms? does the dose make a difference?

 

Alcohol will attenuate the mental effects of tripping slightly. It kills some of the anxiety and helps to calm me down a bit. With mushrooms, it'll often increase the nausea I feel considerably. Sometimes that nausea gets real bad for me... so I don't like to mix alcohol with mushrooms. I do mix alcohol with most other psychedelics. I love to get buzzed a little while tripping. Only one or two drinks. I don't think its fun to over do it.

I love the taste of alcohol, but when I'm tripping I usually think it tastes horrible. Especially beer.

 

my stomach is usually to knotted to drink while im tripping. sometimes ill force a few drinks when im done tripping to let me go to sleep, but overall its a lame combo.

 

i did that once and i have a 1/4 of mushrooms and me and 1 mof my friends drank a liter and a pint of southern comfort. it was ok i guess. until i started pukin.....but while we were drinkin it was ok ....ide never do it again tho

 

ive only bothered with it on sid shortly after peaking; and my simple evaluation is that it made me feel like a human being again. i'd definitely not mix alcohol with any psychedelic in the future.

 

The few times that I have drank beer with mushrooms wasn't that pleasant, it never makes me sick or anything but once the alcohol starts to take effect it's like the trip and the visuals get sloppier; it's hard to explain because obviously the mushrooms trump out the alcohol for the most part but the visuals go from gorgeous, intricate shroom visuals to sloppy ones. It's like your brain is half-assing your trip when drunk, like it does with pretty much everything else IE speech, motor skills etc.

 

hmm that sounds pretty shitty.

i'm going to my friends house in a few days and there are gonna be about 5 other people (close friends) and we're all gonna be hanging out drinking and smoking. i have some mushrooms and was gonna trip then, but i think i'll just hold off. it's only like 1.5 grams anyway. besides, no one else is tripping.

Back in the 90's some freinds and I ate these inkys, but since I dont drink alcohol I felt nothing.. Other freinds swore up and down they were tripping?? After consuming alcohol and inkys. I later confirmed the Inkys were not psychedelic..

 

One of my friends said when he was on shrooms and drinking he didn't feel the alcohol,

 

i've mixed alcohol with amt, dipt, & dpt.. it did not mix well with the amt (oral).. it mixed very well with the dipt @ +115 mg (oral).. & it mixed well with dpt between 50-75 mg (nasal).. but i had the worst trip of my life @ ~130 mg (nasal dpt) while drunk

in all i did some pretty decent research with dipt & i found that the experience resulting from mixing alcohol w/ the substance far trumped the intake of dipt on its own.. (i've found that my best experiences with mixing alc & psychedelics ensues after i take the psychedelics.. wait for them to just begin to kick in & then slowly drink a 6-9 beers throughout the rest of the trip.. depending on the length)

many would probably experience nausea in one or more of these situations.. but i have a very strong stomach & mostly never get nausea. so that being said.. mixing alcohol & psychedelics probably isn't for everyone..

.. one more thing, when my 4-aco-dmt arrives (which should be soon) i'll let you all know how well it mixes with alcohol.. && i'll be trying it on it's own as well
