Anti War Flyer

I’m designing a flyer for a small local protest in Poughkeepsie, NY. Well Whatdaya think?

 

using the word fuck is nice if your targeted audience is bratty teenagers

 

looks like it comes from the seventies, the only difference is the date, and probably only older ones will recognize the Yippie symbol . Maybe you need something more up to date than a revivalistic flyier.
This for the critical part, at heart I love it and I'd be glad to come to your initiative if only i hadnt to cross an ocean for this .

 

Why haven't anyone tried to kill Bush Jr. yet? I thought it's tradition to have an attempt occur atleast once? hm

no, it was a joke... some time ago he got nearly choked with a peanut while watching TV -and possibly drinking a lot- and believe it or not, this really important news came to our ears down here in Italy. Dont know why we needed it... maybe to give us hope

i'd agree about leaving italy , but why leaving the EU too ? for going where ? to the US? to finance bush' wars with my taxes? no thanks, I had enough of that with berlusconi. and besides i dont like countries that reserve the right to kill me, call it death penalty or what you like. and probably they wouldnt even let me IN if they discover I am a militant communist. .

 

No heh. I'm saying that Italy should leave the EU It's weakening Italy IMHO. Even if Italy were a Communist/Socialist nation, there would be no self-interest in the EU, not good. I believe in Direct Democracy working side to side with SOCIALISM btw

 

If you're having an anti-war protest, don't use a marijuana leaf as your logo; it will detour many potential protesters. Also, the word "Fuck" will most definitely detour alot of potential intelligent protesters.

mica facile ... we cant even look likely to leave the NATO ( OTAN ) nor avoid US bases from doubling , housing nuclear weapons , transforming our cities into bridgeheads for US today's wars and for those still to come... , waste an increasing, horrible amout of money in weapons while our leaders claim they promote peace and people gets poorer and poorer. out of joke, its virtually impossible without some kind of revolution . i have the feeling, that here things are going to turn really shitty pretty soon. day after day I (we) keep feeling like a poor hopeless radical , without a chance to see my country change for any better , no matter how hard we try . people is poisoned by the media , everyone seems obsessed just by its own filthy conveniences no matter for the community, i'd continue whining forever if i didnt realize we're slipped out of topic

NATO? As a strong nation, Italy wouldn't need to be apart of NATO. Besides, it makes your nation obligated to join the rest of NATO's imperialistic actions, and that's not good. I'm sorry, but I've felt that Italy has just been a puppet state ever since the end of WWII, just like Japan. Ha. Japan was considering developing nukes, then Condoleeza Rice went there, and now they took the statement back.
