Anxiety makes a comeback

    Hey all,
    when I had the user name mick_jagger_is_so_hip, I first became afflicted with anxiety disorder and mild agrophobia due to smoking too much weed. Anyway, I stopped taking my meds 6 weeks ago (after being on them for 3 months) coz they were really bad, although they DID stop the anxiety. But now its come back, although it is pretty mild, and I can get on with my life - although not with much comfort. :(
    I am just searching for piossible reasons WHY it has returned so quickly!! Do I have chronic anxiety and will have to be drugged up for the rest of my life? (I REALLY don't think this is the case), is it just my brain re- adjusting to fighting its own battles and will all be OK in a few weeks?, or is it just my mind? (I feel FINE and calm until I THINK about anxiety - then BAM Im all jittery)
    Its just all so silly.... and ANNOYING!! Anxiety is so retarded!!!

    what you need is structure,

    as an anxiety stricken person too, i have found that making music or some other creative activity helps.

    I have that dude, I'm at uni studying things I LOVE, Im very happy, thats why Im confused that its come back.

    I think thats that way it works! I've been dealing with it for a looooong time now. I dont really get it when im doing something active, like hanging with friends. But when you start to sit around and think about it, it can only get worse. It will set in and spread like a virus. Thats not good!
    I took meds from lexapro to wellbutrin to celexa. Nothing really did much, so now im clean from meds and feel the best I ever had, mainly because if think if you teach yourself its just your mind, you can get used to it, and just get better as time tells. as psychologist is also a REALLY good source for talking. a psychiatrist is a really BAD source for talking (they wont talk, they will only prescribe!) good luck, and like the second poster said, finding something that really makes you happy that you can do in your own time (instead of thinking about anxiety) is great. I make music and ride longboards. its simple, its fun. its for everyone too!!

    I was on Aropax (also known as Paxil) I stopped taking it aruptly, 3 months before I was supposed to coz it as giving me mood swings, night sweats and making me sleep up to 12 hours a day.:(
