I'll add Tony Rice and Norman Blake to the list. I saw the South Austin Jug Band a few weeks ago and they were excellent.
good to hear someone mention the nitty gritty dirt band, definately one of my favs and ya, love the bluegrass, I come from a pretty musical family so anytime we get together out in the sticks of central Ontario there's usually a few folks fidlin on the fiddle, picken at the banjos and dobros, and strummin on the mandolin and GEEEEEEtars
I love YMSB and Leftover Salmon. Everyone should also check out Old & In The Way. It was the bluegrass band that Jerry Garcia played banjo for. They have some great stuff. And the Kentucky Colonels have some excellent picking by Clarence White.
