if you make items in thin black wool with very big stitchges when you crochet then they come out very gothy, especially shawls and things

 

This technically isn't "gothic", but if you made this in black with occasional stitches in red or purple, it would look pretty neat.

my mother in law made that for me.... it's beyond my crochet capabilities. I wear it as a skirt though, not a poncho. Was told by a 6 yr old at the grocery store that I looked like a fairy princess when I was wearing it last, but mine is in a green yarn. It would look pretty gothy in black though, i agree!
