Ok so I've seen at least 10 Videos and read 15 or so websites, guides, and e-books so Ive done my homework, I've also heard a lot of stuff about "Metal Halide" and "High Pressure Sodium" when asking for suggestions, so before I start I should say that I plan to get a High Pressure Sodium once I have the money for it, which should be just before my plants start flowering.

Currently I took a small cart, and applied wood to the outer areas of the box to close off the cart. This wood was nailed into place, and inside, the dull side of aluminum foil has been placed covering every area.

This area is 3 Feet high, 3 Feet wide, and goes back about a foot and a half. Images of this are at the end of this post.

Inside are 6 compact flourescent light bulbs, 3 are 23 Watt Cool Whites, and the other 3 are 42 Watt Warm Whites. For pots I'm temporarily using 6x6 pots, which are actually hawaiian punch containers cut in half. So far they have grown to 6 inches. I have 8 of them in this area and was hoping that once they became too tall for the 3 feet needed, the bottom could be taken out which adds another 6 inches to the height.

I water them once the soil gets dry, but not deathly dry, which usually ends up being about once every 2 or 3 days. Some stems are white, others are a dark maroonish color (I dont know if that's normal)

Pretty much my question was, this WILL work untill flowering correct?

Also, other than what Ive just told that I use, THE ABSOLUTE NECESSARY stuff I need are pretty much a Fan, Temp Guage, Timer, Nutrients, and Odor Control.

    My other questions are:

1.) Anyone know of a good cheap plant food that is alright for Marijuana sold Lowes, Walmart, Home Depot, or somewhere that I would KNOW my area has?

2.) A 6 Inch fan will do well for that sized grow area correct?

3.) How can I keep my plants short, I know you can cut them, but when's the earliest you can cut them?

4.) Are 3, 23 watt cfls and 3 42 watt cfls sufficiant for the grow area I'm using?

5.) Any other suggestions? I don't need unecessary stuff.

several sugestions; sounds like you have enough light to veg. Instead of cutting plants try bending and tieing down stems to keep plants short, white paint is more reflective then tin foil., for fan size go by cfm not size ideally you want something that will clear your area in no more then a few min. you can get an exaust fan a Home Depot. Not sure about plant food at Depot/Lowes, but go easy with whatever you get, start by useing 1/2 recomended amount and see how that goes.
