Most people think when you do an opiate you just sit there and nod. They take away my anxiety better than any other drug. I love talking to people and dancing on them. Am I alone?

I love any Opiate at parties! To be honest I would prefer them over alcohal or weed. Makes me feel invincible and just really social(Because I really dont care about anything)

I find that opioids can enhance any activity actually. You just have to dose accordingly. I usually just like to sit quietly and listen to music, but I also LOVE hanging out with friends late at night, rather high on Suboxone, talking philosophically about things!

I have never really been one of those 'party people' i like to have good time with friends and whatnot, and yeah i love to have shenanigan times on opiates, as OP said, they get rid of my anxieties for the most part.

Yeah, it enhances basically any experience or activity you engage in, provided you don't overdo it. I take them for pain, so I get some relief from that, plus it enhances my mood and seems to give me a boost of energy.

I like to just about anything on opiates I would enjoy otherwise.

But social situations are extremely easier to handle, granted one isn't nodding in the punch bowl.

I found opiates to be a more effective anxiolytic than even benzodiazepines. Ya, xanax makes me relax, but it also makes me want to sleep. Opiates, however, allow me to stay up while still keeping my social anxiety at bay.

I can get super irritable at times though.

I agree about their anxiolytic potential. I have a scientific journal article that compared Buprenorphine and Morphine to benzodiazepines and SSRIs for their anxiety relief potential and opioids won hands down. Of course, your general doctor isn't going to know about this study!

The only time I tried to 'party' on opiates was with oxycontin and I hardly remember anything. I was told I was glued to the couch cussing out people tho so I don't think they are very good party drugs based on that experience, perhaps some of the weaker ones would work alright or if I built up a tolerance. I spent a Christmas on vicodin and that was enjoyable, still felt sort of out of it tho.

You tend to get really irritable and withdrawan on opioids, right? I remember talking about this in the past because I was stuck on the idea that opioids MUST be euphoric for all people because of their pharmacodynamics haha.

They are euphoric for me as well but yah I do get slightly irritable on them and I seem to rather just kind of let my mind drift on them rather than have to engage in conversation or a lot of thinking. They are perhaps the only class of drugs where I find my mind can pretty much be clear and not have constant mental chatter so I find that effect interesting but I'm more partial to disassociatives where I can kind of check out like opiates but still have all kinds of novel and engaging mental perceptions.

Also, in this party circumstance some people were drinking so I don't know how well the opiate, alcohol crowds mix together.

Maybe I need to start taking Opiates, lol because I don't care about shit (except my old lady and my dog, but that's it!) I've lost tons of friends because I simply can't find the energy(for the lack of a better word) to give a shit about anything.

Fuck, back in my social party days, (calmed down now) I would always take a line or some sort of ingestion of Oxycodone (usually OC80's or endocets/percocets) or possibly a shit load of vicodin (mostly watson types) and just go for it. Like a massive fucking awesome party drug, I'd share it like cocaine with lines for everyone haha. But some people couldn't handle as much as me, so stopped taking it out so much. Though when on morphine/hdyromorphone I'd be more kickback/chill type and morphine would be the couch lock type of shit, but added with ritalin and alcohol I"d be up, but like that really drunk guy. So all opiates give me a different party mood.

Opiates are great until you get hooked, so hopefully you're not, hate to preach, but I'm fucking addicted as shit to opiates, love/hate relationship, so yeah, have fun don't get hooked :p Good luck, and fentanyl is the fucking shit rips you up, feels amazing, I'd 'float' around almost, and start hallucinating if dose high enough (not a good thing) but to me was when in the moment. Felt great, though I stumbled and fumbled a lot, so maybe not great for the other party goers, but good for me haha. That's selfish and the road to darkness... but was fun, can't lie.

Also, just remembered vicodin/tramadol great sex enhancers, especially if you got whiskey dick, then you can just lay there and try to get it going haha. But if fine then just great.

opiate and zanax make you give even less of a shit, and even emotionless. maybe take a break after going through withdraw and drink a bunch of tea and other healthy shit

Yeah. Like I often say here on the forums: For anyone contemplating taking an opioid recreationally who isn't either in severe pain or essentially near suicide with refractory mental illness, DO NOT DO IT!

They are, indeed, like a magical solution. But the almost written in stone guarentee of life time addiction should make you think twice, even if just the sheer monetary cost of sustaining a lifetime of opioid use doesn't sound fun to you.
