i have frequently encouraged my husband to dose when he gets a migraine. He turns me down. i figure if i was in blinding pain i wouldn't want to dose either. Yet there are those studies, in particular for the cluster headaches. And of course, well known migraine medications such as Imitrix and Migral have DMT/LSD precursors in them. i do not get migraines and certainly not cluster headaches but once in awhile i get headaches that mimic effects or are similar. i have seriously considered trying to maybe micro-dose - maybe take 1/4 to 1/2 of a hit so that i don't trip too hard to see if i could get on top of it WITHOUT popping a bunch of Excedrin or something similar. Just wondering if anyone on this forum has actually done this and if/how they achieved optimal results?

With as scarce and/or expensive LSD is for me I would never dose in this way. It would be a waste to me and the low dose effects I've felt, only through tolerance with LSD, are like a weird sub par stimulant, I wasn't particularly fond of it. It very well may help though.
My mom takes a prescribed tryptamine for her migraines. a lot of top end migraine medicines are tryptamines. i wonder if perhaps low dose 4aces or something wouldn't be better. could be a personal thing too.
Hmmm. i have LSD but no 4-aces, but i will keep that in mind should things change in the future. And yeah, Imitrix has DMT as it's skeletal core. Technically it should be Schedule I if you apply the 1986 Analog (USA) Act. Migral's active ingredient is egotamine tartrate.
i know a dude with cluster headaches who told me that when he trips he gets some lasting relief (like several months).
Imagine if people got 10mg doses of aMT for migraines. The world would be a much better place. I was having this re-occurring headache for a while before I did my 2c-e/2c-b combo, and it temporarily relieved my pain. No experience with LSD and headaches, though.
I've tripped hundreds of times - but not with a severe headache. What if it didn't go away and you were trapped in your brain with a headache tripping like crazy. You might wind up in a virtual living hell for 4 hours.
That would be quite manageable for an experienced psychonaut on a low dose, though not enviable. i have had a severe toothache make itself known in the middle of a 6 gram mushroom trip so i can honestly say, "Been there, done that . . . "
sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.. sometimes morphine works, sometimes it does not.. See where im going with that,, it really depends.. Sure nobody wants to be told Tylenol might work too, its been proven over and over... I could also prove Tylenol dont do shit -sometimes..
My wife (now deceased) used to get extreme migraines ... some lasted days, and for years she was incapacitated about half of her waking hours. She finally risked dosing... no migraine. She tripped dozens of times and very oddly never got one while on. When the supply ran out she started getting them again but nothing like before. I have no doubt that LSD was the big factor. If it didn't work I wouldn't want to be stuck tripping with a god damn migrane... not worth the chance...
Again, i stress low dosing. This does not scare me at all. Maybe because it has happened already and i have had a number of rather difficult/harrowing experiences (aka bad trips) in my lifetime.
Yes, according to everything I have read you only need a small, sub-psychedelic, dose to end a cluster or migraine headache. If you are talking average LSD blotter, 1/4 hit would probably do it. Mushrooms, maybe 1/4 gram.
Off-topic, but I also remember reading about someone who had the flu, and the effects of the flu would completely disappear while he was on LSD and even though they'd come back after the trip, it made it easier for him to deal with it. The cases sound similar.
as a life long migraine sufferer i would be willing to try it. especially since i've tried damn near every pharmaceutical (yuck!) for them and nothing really works. i never have dosed before so it would be totally new to me to even do a low dose with a migraine. i doubt it could make it worse.
