Can you tell me how it is? i am planning to read it after i am done with 'Da Vinci Code', which is probably by tomorrow.
I enjoyed it when it came out but that must be about 40 years ago. I wonder if it might seem a bit dated now.... But Hailey was a meticulous researcher and a good writer. I enjoyed several of his books and doubt you'll be disappointed.
yeah, i read it 40 years ago also. sorry, i really don't remember it. the one book of his i remember best, from some 40 odd years back was entitled, "the final diagnosis." it was damn good stuff!:2thumbsup: just like "wheels" it would seem dated in 2011.
good lord, no, people aren't still reading this crap, are they? da vinci code must have also been one of the worst books i've ever read the horror, the horror . . .
i really liked the Da Vinci Code. it was a tight thriller. but i like the second one, Angels and Demons even more. it's better, more fast-paced, and more gripping. i'm taking it everywhere i go.
On the whole, I didn't find Dan Brown's books too bad, as I'm open to that sort of stuff, and enjoy reading books that get you to think. I think out of all three, at least the main ones, the order that I would have them in, would be: Angels & Demons, The Lost Symbol and then the Da Vinci Code. Mind you, Digital Fortress was a good read too.
His books are good SC, but with them, it's always good to keep an open mind when doing so, given that a lot of the ideas that his books house, are different from the norm of society - like the Da Vinci Code with the whole Mary Magdalene story and whatnot.
