I'm looking for some gothy-themed knitting or crocheting patterns. If you could help me out in any way, post here or pm me. Willing to pay for patterns if you have some... or any great links [IMG]

sadly, no. I tried doing a search for you but unfortunately all I could find was halloween themed things, I doubt that's what you're looking for.

Heya Cerridwen, what sort of patterns are you after? I have approximately 10 million magazines, pattern booklets, etc that I could look through to find something that either IS gothy or could be MADE gothy. :D

Hey, I've been looking for you guys! I didn't know that anyone had ideas like mine, and now I don't feel so wierd. See, even goths and bikers need kitchen things, towels and that sort of things. I just can see Marilyn Manson wiping up a spill with pretty pink towels, but it makes my brain hurt. So answering your query about gothy knits, just think of it more as a state of mind. Goths are cynical, and they love Victorian things, just in darker colors, a deep purple in a sort of greyed hue, a maroon with a lot of black in it, black of course and anything with bones or skulls. Bikers love anything in red and black, or with wings. goths love wings too, only the kind that are on cemetary angels. Oh yeah, coffins or mausolems are good too. and cobalt blue.

I'm so wise about these things because I'm inside out. I don't look on the outside like I am on the inside, and goth has been considered. also hippie, gypsy,fashionista--oh well. love you guys!

thanks for the help, rhowyn :)

I could totally imagine Marilyn Manson with the pink dishcloth. It's a riot. Betcha he has one.

That anticraft site is a HUGE help, they've got some great stuff there.

Thanks so much for the link, Rhowyn! I'm just learning how to knit - I can't wait to try out the spiderweb pillowcase and the killer rabbit. Awesome site!:D

Honestly you could take some basic patterns and just make them appear gothic based on color choice.
