Anyone heard these guys before.... they're a swedish cello band. A Boss of mine awhile ago brought in this cd and hes like its four celloists that play metallica.... and i was like ok whatever.. this is gonna be lame.... and damn man... i've never heard a cello jam so bad before.... it was the most insane thing i've ever heard in my life... i dont know if they just do covers or if they actually have their own music... but damn their metallica album is nuts..... who else has heard these guys before?
Yeah, I know of them. I even saw them live at a festival. They also have their own music now. Their Metallica cover album was their debut. Not my cup of tea though.
Apocalyptica is one of my favourite bands! I thought they were Finnish? It's not the favoured of alot of people... but I'm an odd cookie, so I guess it's only natural somehow. The hall of the mountain king, Romance, and Path. Those have to be the best in my opinion. And I think they did a good job of Nothing Else Matters.

they're a full movement of bands commin from this shit country called Finland Gothic people who like Evanessance will probably like popular bands from this cold white (nearly nazi) europe the finnish band WANTED are (in order of populrity) : -Him -Nightwish -The Rasmus -Apocalyptica 1000 dollar for every head But well a band like Him maybe will be saved in the last minute by some Presidential Grace...'cause they're guilty of some bad music but not as shit as the others ... Strange that Finland have all this bad music and Sweden is really into pure great rock'n roll or pop folk bands those bands are great and diserve respect -The Cardigans -The Hellacopters -The Soundrack of Our Lives -Mondo Diao -The Hives -Eskobar I will never understand this mad geography

Yes, Apocalyptica is from Finland. I once went to their concert, it was GREAT! And the guys were very nice.

You're right...in one way... this is not a shit country... but the majority of their music is shit but not only finland ...most of the european country don't have descent bands... Switzerland where i live has a majority of shit rock bands too...they play too loud to impress young naive boys...but it lacks of deep emotions in the majority of those bands. In Sweden, Iceland, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, North Ireland, England and Maybe France & Norway you will find a few very good rock bands but no definitly not those commercial emo Gothico Finnish FM bands
good tunes, no matter where you think they are from! Are they still performing? I know I loved what I heard from them a couple years ago. Their own work, the metallica covers, and the classical they do is a nice use of orchestration.
Ok there's a few good bands like everywhere like The Crash in Finland (it's not even good but just not bad). But why (in finland to start then everywhere) Finnish majority choose those 4 shit bands to have success(in finland then everywhere) and reprezent Finland to our universal ears... Maybe because a large part of Finnish ear shit music...but hey...i don't put everyone in the same bag...(there's always good bands in every country bla bla bla etc etc...) ok why i loose my precious time to talk about a country who made just 4 little millions people! I´m not going to argue about music. It´s a matter of taste. But tell me about bands from Switzerland? Well, most of the great bands here sing in Finnish (obviously), so I don´t think it would be a huge success outside Finland if you sang in Finnish. Would you understand what they were saying? Artists like CMX, Maija Vilkkumaa, Ismo Alanko Säätiö, Don Huonot, Kalle Ahola.. They all sing in Finnish and are great.

Yes, they released it earlier this year (January 24.). And the second single was released not too long ago. Ville Valo (from HIM, I guess you know ) sings on the album with the singer from The Rasmus (Lauri Ylönen).
