How's it going people?? All is good I hope. I was just wondering if anybody knew where I could get information on cheap appartments in Amsterdam. I'm thinking of going to Amsterdam for about a month in May and don't really fancy staying in a hotel or hostel. If anyone has any info or advice on this matter i'd be very grateful. Cheers.
There are loads of places offering apartments, studio flats, houseboats, houses, (furnished or unfurnished). Hopefully somebody else can post some more links but I know of one below. Scroll to the bottom of the web site and click on ''rooms''. One of the cheapest in A'dam, btw. http://www.frederic.nl/ Or try this for houseboats http://www.houseboathotel.nl/
Apartments are the way to go if money is no object, even if it is there are still good deals on par with what you'd pay for a week in a 3 or 4 star hotel. Check out some of the nice properties from the link below. http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/europe/netherlands/g#1596 Good Luck & if you're around in the first 4 days of May drop me a line.
I've seen some truely lush apartments and houseboats but none are as cheap as the hotel I stay at, ie, 35 Euros pp/pn, breakfast included, restaurant on first floor with a fully stocked bar, smack bang in the centre of it all. Apartments are only practicle, like Ictricity said, if money is no object or if there are a load of you to bring the price down, etc.
These folks have some nice apartments for around the same cost as a 3 or 4 star hotel. http://www.simplyamsterdam-apartments.nl/ We are renting one for 8 days in April. Can't hardly wait!!!
