Marijuana withdrawal... I haven't smoked since new years eve after a l3-4 month period of smoking every day.

One thing that seems to concern me is the complete and utter loss of the sensation of hunger. I just don't get any sensation of hunger, I can't eat as much anymore or I can but I jsut don't feel like it. I refuse all food offered to me and I'm not eating much. This could be bad.

I'm thinking maybe the receptors that THC work on to make you hungry in the brain got used to the THC hunger boost which kept me eating. Now I haven't been getting hungry... and some food doesn't taste to me right now as it normally definately would. I threw half a bacon sandwich in the bin the other day which I wouldn't do under other circumstances :D

But does anyone know anything about this? Is it something to be concerned about?

Although i never heard of marijuana withdrawl causing appetite lost i saw it listed on the first site i found.

    http://www.marijuanapassion.com/Marijuana-Withdrawal.html

The symptoms of marijuana withdrawal include but are not limited to:

    irritability
    anxiety
    physical tension
    decreases in appetite and mood
    stomach pain
    physical tension
    restlessness
    anorexia
    insomnia
    increased aggression / anger
    strange dreams

I personally never get any symptoms other than very mild irritability. I would think some of the others are false... because most religious people try to make marijuana seem as scary and dangerous as possible because they think it is sin.

With lack of ganj I get all of the above except physical tension, stomach pain, and increased aggression. I believe it's mostly being used to being high all the time. You basically have to readjust to living sober.

i think this recently happend to me...

im 18yrs old 6'5" and weigh ~240lbs.I've been smoking 2g's a day (give or take a few) since may 07'. I go to my moms house(no smokeing weed) for my bitrhday(dec.21st) and stay with her till the 29th of dec. and i really had no appetite for my whole stay with her,(no bday cake or candy or 5 plates of christmas dinner and left overs). when i get back to my dads house i randomly weigh myself and see that i weigh around 220lbs!...

i didnt even think about the weight loss till i saw this thread title....a true Natural diet!!!

Putting weight on and taking it off very fast repeatedly is very unhealthy. I don't have an appetite even when I am high. My appetite kicks in every few days and I feast.

Whoa, I haven't smoked for two weeks, and since then I have a lot of trouble sleeping, I've lost 8 lbs since I've been at my parents' house :(, and I have zero attention span. I don't blame that solely on lack of pot, but I'm sure that's one of the factors.

i completely understand what you are going through...

i have stopped smoking for the most part recently (having smoked at least twice a day for 6 months before that), and i have absolutely no appetite anymore. i am never hungry, and when i do eat i can only put away about 1/4 of what i used to...

it sucks because i really love to eat, i just have no ability to anymore.

luckily i havent lost any weight though (my metabolism is fucking crazy, it doesnt matter how much i eat--i will never put on an extra pound)

good luck, just know that there are others just like you out there
