Apple to Make 48 Million "World iPads" Next Year

    Apple has seen great success with the launch of the iPad which took the world by storm. But now with so many other companies coming to market with similar devices, Apple must do something to maintain its lead.

    So next year they will be building a new, thinner "World" iPad made out of one piece of metal. In addition they will have a new chip by Qualcomm, which will enable the World iPad to connect to any existing communication service including those in Europe and Asia. Currently iPads are limited to AT&T's system.

    Apple will build 48 million of these new iPads next year.
