hi guys ive been off the forum for some time, getting back now. i was just wondering? i just started an applique and i was having a bit of trouble with frayed edges. just wondered what some of your techniques are. i cut and iron fused the pieces but as i stitched around the edges they frayed a bit. what type of stitch do you use? type of thread? and do you turn under edges of fabric or leave raw edge? thanks

    Hey sistah~
I recommend getting a roll of heat bond from the craft store. It will give you instructions on the package. Then set your zig-zag stitch length down from 2.5 to .5. When you position your needle into the applique...make sure the needle hits the VERY edge of the fabric so that half of your zig zag is on the applique and half is on your under fabric :)
