MOVIES!! woo now, when you think of aussie movies you cant go past The Castle. [fucking aussie as.. classic] Wog Boy heaps more. list!
The Cars That Ate Paris. In Halliwells Film Guide it is quite obvious the author IMO completly misses the point of the film of Australia moving from being an outpost of the British Empire to a modern sophisticated cafe latte society.
The Castle, The Dish, Wog Boy, Boy Town, Crackerjack... All classics..... And if anyone says otherwise, tell em they're dreaming!
what do Aussies need movies for anyways. the women are beautiful and prolific. Drinking doesn't have such a negative stigma. like 80 percent of the population live near the beach. I'd kill to live in Australia.
Two Hands Romeo and Juliet (a Baz Lurhman creation) Bad Boy Bubby Blue Murder is awesome for a TV series/movie.
Bad Boy Bubby is a great film. He Died with a Felafel in his hand is still a classic, as well as Space Dogs, starring the late Michael Hutchins. Of course all the old Peter Weir ones are great, Gallipoli and the one with the Nescafe Ad flute music about the girls getting lost in the hills. I've been overseas for a while and really want to see "The Magician" but before I left they were fighting with their publishers. Does anyone know whether its been released on DVD yet?
