Ok, I'm curious. I've noticed that a large percentage of Canadian girls on hipforums consider themselves to be bi-sexual. It's certainly a higher percentage than girls in the US. I'm wondering if there is really a higher percentage of girls that consider themselves to be bi in Canada, compared to the US, or is this just primarily a phenomenon on hipforums, accidental or whatever? If there really is a higher percentage of girls in Canada that are bi, what do you think the reason is? Is Canadian society more liberal, more accepting of this? I'm focusing on the girls (well, that's nothing new  ), particularly because there seem to be very few guys that identify themselves as bi. I'm curious. Tell me what you think.
dude u have no idea how many girls are bi at my highschool, its rediculous. Its almost like its cool 2 b lez now...
Well, thanks for the reply, but I was hoping to get some responses from the girls, to see what they think, too. So much for my amateur sociology project....
I'd like to see some results too. This just wasn't talked about out loud when I was in highschool in the early to mid 70's.
alot of my sisters girlfriends are bi but my sister isnt, out of the 5 or 6 friends of hers i know, they are all bi
yeah. ok, I'm usually more into men. Somewhere between totally bi and totally straight. But I'm not opposed to dating women, if a spectacular one came along. I think it's more acceptable for chicks to be bi, generally speaking. I don't knwo bout the differences between the US and Canada though. you could always, y'know, try making a poll to see if the numberes on this forum support your position.
Ok, Professor DQ has added a poll to this thread, per ihmuuria's suggestion. :smartass: Maybe this will make it a little easier to get some feedback, as I'm really pretty curious about this, for some strange reason. :book2: Ok, girls, tell us about yourselves!:gossip:
i doubt theres alotta difference, except perhaps more canadians whove had bi experiences may accept the label bi or even those without the experiences but an openness to experiences might axcept the label, while some more americans who are fairly bi might concider themselves primarily straight or gay
aussie and bi but definately connect with guys easier with girls its just sexual...guys its CONNEXION...so far anyways
i know..just was wonderin bout wether canadians were more likely to accept the labels since that would alter the statistics
Well I'm canadian and bi, but I consider myself as such because I've been in relationships with girls that consist of more then just sex, I have been in love with a girl. I think canadian girls are just more fun willing to try more things! Man I'm glad to be canadian.
I think it's a general liberalism over all. Gay pride parades, political victories on same sex marriage, GLBT clubs in schools- all of this stuff that's out there in the bigger political field for progressing the acceptance of breaking gender roles and sexual orientation makes it easier for the younger generation to be progressively more open sexually in general. Although it's almost to the point where it's cliche to be a young bi-chick. Perhaps most of the girls claiming to be bi are more ' try-sexual ' and some are just straight girls that know bi-chicks drive men crazy. That's cool though. The more comfortable we become with sex as a society, the better off we are.
You are "bi" Russian piano? Piano play from US is woman with blonde face and boyfriend with photo machine. You will use piano skills to wear dress and drive young man? This is shave Manda and find skills with US piano woman to shave Manda. You will compose song for this? Shave! Use piano to cause stupid lesbian to shave Manda!
I think this really is the answer to the 'why' part of this. Pretty much the answer I was looking for. You say these clubs are in schools-are we talking about high schools?
