    There is no comparison.

I dont know where you would find 'radical' Christians but if you do they are probably jumping up and down in praise and worship concerts, running around handing out bibles and bothering people on street corners.
Thats 'radical Christianity' if anything is.

Islam going 'radical' is Mujahadeen, Jihad and be willing to burn out your eyeballs with a hot metal nail, cut your arms off and let you die slowly.

Islam is a very different thing from not only Christianity but also Hinduism, Buddhism and other major world religions.
    Very different.

Many Christians would be willing to die for their faith. Many Muslims have proven that they will make sure the Christians die for their faith. There is a very big difference between what these two religions believe.

We don't know how Christians would behave if America came under the rule of a Christian theocracy.

There's some pretty significant history over the last 2000 years that points to some possible answers, though.

Thanl God for separation of church and state, and thank God for the Demo victory in the elections yesterday...with some mixed feelings because if there's one issue I at least agree on in principle with you fundies it's the free availability of abortion-as-birth-control one.

IMO, at the present the good probably outweighs the bad...we've got some balance in government again...the Christian Right was getting too powerful under Bush & Co., and needed a good hard body blow.

Bush's Supreme Court appointments, past and possible future ones, will assure a longtime conservative majority in the Judicial branch, even though we're headed down a more liberal road now in the Legislative branch and most probably the Executive one in '08.

I don't know if he is a Christian. Christ tells us that many would worship Him with their lips, but their heart is far from Him. He did pass the late term abortion ban which would stop some of the killing in the abortion mills. We will have to see if the court upholds that law. How many canadates have you voted for that support abortion? And if you voted for any of them, can you tell me you have no blood on your hands? So far, the non religious in America alone have killed over 50 million Americans by abortion. Only God can see into the heart of a true Christian. There are a lot of phonies out there.

As wacky as the 'Puritans' were, the one area in which they went right was on this whole separation of Church and State concept.

For those who dont know.. back in the ole days you had a situation in the UK (and Europe) where the Head of State was also the 'Head of the Church' or at best the Government and Church were working together.
    So,
A lot of these 'puritan' types, reformers, mennonites (list goes on and on) got to the 'New World' and pushed hard for the idea of separating the two.
Not the least of reasons - they didnt want to be persecuted for their denominations.
    But,
Also because as Max Lucado puts it so perfectly: You dont want to mix your ice creme with horse shit.
Horse shit being politics of course.

Wierdly, alot of the 'descendants' of the same Church groups have kinda turned around and done a horrible horrible mistake of merging themselves into politics.
Now, as a Christian you SHOULD participate in democracy yes.
but a denomination 'merging' with a political party ... no no no.
    Not good.

The good news is that it seems things might be changing down there in the US?
I see alot of interviews and articles (and blogs) where 'Evangelicals' seem to be giving their heads a shake and rethinking the direction some have gone.
    Good!

btw.. this is probably a good Topic unto itself one day.

so your saying that only nonreligious people have aborted pregnancies?

Dude, heaven is going to be a very lonely place if god really plans to scrutinize each persons heart before they are aloud to pass through the pearly gates.

One more thing. We as Americans (citizens of the USA) ALL have blood on our hands, lots and lots if it.

    He does scrutinise are hearts.
    Already a done deal.
And yes, Heaven would be completely empty if not for the only person to ever pass through with a perfectly flawless heart.
Thats the only reason anyone gets through the pearly gates at all.
    Thats good news people!

Thats only good news if you believe that we should be ashamed of what we are.

I'm going to try my best to be a decent guy. Thats about all us humans can do. I'm sure not going to spend my entire life freting over the afterlife.

But hey, Enjoy it up there, you can look down on me and laugh your ass off if you want to.

Radical anything is BAD. Anything that turns from gentle persuasion or lobbying into violence is WRONG. Whether you agree with abortion or not (I personally don't) you don't bomb clinics. Period. Some people say,"Well what about the fetus?" Well, what about the pregnant women with fetuses that could be in the clinic? MORONS

    1. When did you become a Christian?

    2. How do you feel about supporting a party that has pushed the murder of 50 million American children by abortion.

    3. Do you think God values trees more than children?

I'm saying people who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ will be the ones who will find an excuse to murder a child by abortion.

Heaven will be filled with lovers of God and His truth, most of the world will not be there.

Every vote I have cast, it was always my hope to promote life, and not to destroy it.
