haha good question...I dunno bout drug nerd but I definitely like to know the history and tech details about whatever substance it is im using. I dont get the people that will just take anything their given to get "fucked up" although I see the appeal

I consider myself a drug geek more than a drug nerd. I spend a lot of time on erowid, bluelight, hipforums, lycaeum, and UD. I dont know why, but i've been that way since i was like 15. I rarely ever "get fucked up". I dont really drink at all, and smoking weed doesnt get me fucked up... most of the time. I use psychedelics to expand my mind, and the occasional amphetamine tweak. but thats just so i can converse more freely and deeply with another friend tweaking.

 

yeah the only time im irresponsible in that sense is festivals general rules go out the window there and anything offered will go up my nose, bombed, smoked or dropped.

 

I think anyone on here somewhat fits the profile.

The only drug I did a lot of research before taking, were shrooms.

 

Guess I'll answer my own thread, although I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who's been paying attention. I actually 'got into' drugs because of my budding interest in neuroscience, I find learning about the pharmacology of various substances almost as much fun as doing them. Almost.

Now I'm starting to get into the pure chemistry aspect of it. My hope is that by the time I take Organic Chem (January if everything goes according to plan) I'll already be somewhat familiar with some of the concepts.

I like learning about drugs..
But i love getting fucked up, and learning about weed is fun.

 

i don't really get high, but i know a lot about the most common drugs i find myself running into, and about some that i probably would have never known about if it wasn't for this place, haha.
