According to a recent report issued by the Department of Homeland Security, if you express concern about illegal immigration, increased gun laws and encroaching big government, you just might be an extremist.

Labels are so foolish.Anyhow if one is against illegal immigration I guess that would mean most Americans must be right wing extremists then.--------"It's not about left and right ,it's about what's right and wrong".

What people are against is people of other race/religion taking their jobs because their greedy CEOs decide it's better for his pocket to hire them.

lol @ odon - beat me to the question.

according to the rat - if you express concern... you may be an extremist.

I think it depends more on HOW you express your concerns.
Expressing them through violence is a big concern and extreme.

Read the report, then come to your conclusion.

    I didn't have the time.
I have read a few of the articles, and it seems so-called "right-wing" groups could fuel a resurgence in their activities. I have not seen, Obama, say: " if you express concern about illegal immigration, increased gun laws and encroaching big government, you just might be an extremist."...or anything like that.

I did read: "But it is the first high-level U.S. intelligence report to call attention to an array of recent domestic developments as potential harbingers of terrorist violence."...which is fair enough...still not the same thing as you were saying.

It is true that certain things fuel "right-wing" extremists...it is not the same thing to say that cerain things make you a "right-wing" extremist.

Read the friggin' report already. It says that people concerned with increased gun laws, immigration, as well as anti-abortion activists and military people, are potential suspects. No, Obama hasn't come out and said anything about it, and why would he when the DHS report is receiving so much criticism and negative attention? Obama did not write the report, the Department of Homeland Security did, and the report actually began with the Bush administration besides.

Yes, I can appreciate that. What I am saying is that it does not say if you believe certain things this automatically makes you a "right-wing extremist"
It seems to say:"right-wing extremist groups may be using the current recession as a recruitment driver. "The consequences of a prolonged economic downturn -- including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit -- could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists,"

It does not seem to judge everybody who believes certain things as being: "right -wing extremist".

At this point, your claim seems to be hyperbolic and stretching a tenuos point till it snaps.

It is true: " you just might be an extremist." if you believe certain things.
I don't quite grasp why you have made such an issue of this.

No, it doesn't automatically say you're a right wing extremist, but it makes certain people suspects just because of their beliefs. Why do you think so many people are upset over it? Heck, just last month the State of Missouri released their MIAC report stating that people with Ron Paul bumper stickers are potential domestic terrorists.

But whatever, man. Believe what you want. Hell, maybe arsenic is a health food.

Why I have made such an issue of this? I know you english mo... You don't care about the military of anyone. according to most of you, america didn't do shit. OOOHHH This article is pissing me off so bad. I can't type as fast as I want to explain my hurt and frustration.

I am making a big deal because after I get out instead of people thinking I am protecting them, they will then think I am a GOD DAMN TERRORIST. WTF. I risk my life everyday just to have americans think I am a potential terrorist?! FUCK THAT and FUCK DHS.

    So what?
Isn't the point of this kind of thing; to identify people who may pose a risk?
If they were saying anybody thinking certain things this automatically makes them a a "right-wing extremist" ... I could understand it might be more controversial that it actually is.

People, I imagine, are upset because they see most things in black and white...not in colour.
If you hold any of the opinions that you say will make you a "right-wing extremist", you may just be as bad as those that see the world in black and white. It doesn't quite seem as bad as you make it out to be. Sorry.

Could you post the bit where it says this: "people with Ron Paul bumper stickers are potential domestic terrorists"

I'm just not getting the same interpretation as you are.
Though, to be fair, you have chosen your words carefully, but still - imagine - you are more extreme - in your interpretation - than it may appear.
