Has anyone done this? How does one go about doing this and is it possible to acheive from one hit if it's strong? Thank you.
the only time i ever really did it was on 1 hit of acid actually, but it was probably the best, real acid i have ever had. Shit had me in the alex grey tunnel. but dont count on one hit doing doing it for you, take like 6
I spent a good 5 hours trying to astral project on 3 hits. I could see the outside of my house, I couldn't tell if I was actaully projecting myself out there, or just holding a really clear image of it in my head, but I was looking at the outside. I'm sure its possible, but even better more important things can happen if you try to do so. After a couple hours of trying, I remember being launched downs these tubes into some crazy multidimensional space, where every way is up, and every way is right.
i don't not believe in astral projection..but like so many other similar things i've always wondered about the roots of the phenomena. i mean you can go to any number of pages on the internet and they'll jump right into telling you how to do it..and there's an immense amount of books for sale...but there's no information about the origins. the farthest back i've heard is madam blavatsky teaching about the seven layers of the soul or something like that. but where did it come from before that? i've always been very curious about it and very interested...and i've even "tried" a number of times to no avail. i just feel it's important to know more then just the methods of doing. really cool bout the tubes btw : )
The yogis of ancient India most likely perfected astral traveling. They were masters of their body, mind, and soul. The information probably slowly passed through the ages. But once again, they weren't focused on astral travel, they were focused on god communion, on oneness, samadhi, connecting with the universal spirit. Why travel it all, when you can become it all! In the 70s when Maharishi brought Transcendental Meditation to the united states, places like the Monroe Institute started up scientific study on astral travel and out of body experiences. There is a lot of information from these people explaining the out of body experience and how to accomplish it.
those yogis man..they were the shit : ) i read once about the Pashupati yogis and supposedly they would come to town bearing gifts and if you received one you were said to have good luck for the rest of the year. but they might also beat you over the head with a stick..which also meant you would have good luck for the rest of the year : ) and there were other sects which would live in dug up graves and cover themselves with excrement and scream obscenities. my hindu professor explained this as a method of renouncing the world in order to work towards moksha. but that's pretty cool...i'm glad there was a little more to that explanation than some lady wrote it in a book : )
I have projected myself into the astral world a number of times but never while tripping, I have had similar things occur while on psychedelics but its a little different.... it used to happen unintentionally at times... then I studied up on it and was able to do it intentionally a good number of times.... when you are actually coming out of your body, you can actually hear very loud static and "tuning" noises as you are separating, pretty similar to the noises you hear when you breakthrough on DMT....I have not done it in about a year or so now, would like to explore again
I think its easier to astral project with mushrooms, Take a good dose in a dark room. I am the opposite of spiralout, I can't say I've had astral projection happen while sober or like meditating so I can't really compare those two types of awareness.
I have astral projected on LSD many times. one time i was standing next to my body... my physical body was sitting indian style on my bed. Through my physical body's eyes i couldn't see what else was in the room with me... however, from my "astral self" I could see a figure that I can't really discribe... it represented life, death, the fibonacci sequence, all the complexities and all the simplicities... idk how to describe it. anyway what was interesting is that my physical body's eyes could not see this huge figure of light floating above my head in my room... but my "astral eye's" could see it.
can anybody really define what astral projection is? Our experiences of it could be hard to explain depending on who you are.
you say tomAto i say tomato. i'm confident in my ability to astral project; though the example I gave might not have explained the situation well. Astral projection is far easier for me when I'm not on LSD. I usually get there from lucid dreaming or meditation. Thanks for the love
Closed eyed visuals are just visions behind your closed eyes. Astral projection is consciously exiting the body, using a subtler vehicle of matter to travel on higher frequency realities and/or travel without bounds in the physical reality.
Can't do it, takes years of work sometimes, but if within 10 years I master it, I'll come to your house and pee in the snow, "Inthy was here!" Can anyone here give a full description of what happens in an Out of body experience? Like I have closed eyes visuals where I felt I was moving in crazy worlds, but never do I get the sensation I am leaving my body, my consciousness feels disconnected to it, but it does not leave its temple. Maybe the out of body experience is just a construct of the mind, maybe cause you never actually exit anything, you just retrieve a different set of reality data into your senses. Maybe only those who have the out of body concept in mind, actually witness the release from the body. Their are so many people that have actually given detailed descriptions though, including my mom. A friend of mine in middle school actually meditated and read something hidden across the room by astral projection. Idk PB, have you ever left the body? Would you consider that just closed eyes visuals? Are you denying something that potentially could be very beneficial to more completely understanding ourselves? I mean similar much more amazing things have happened, why not exploration outside your physical walls?
thats really cool...now that would be proof of projection. but taking into account that our worlds are just constructs of our own minds anyway, we would already know whats on the paper.
I believe it does occur. There have been cases documented throughout history of such occurences. I don't doubt that it does happen, just that it happens as readily as some of the forums members claim. I think some have very vivid imaginations and construe some things to be more than they actually are. I have personaly been witness to some rather "out there" things, most without any drugs involved. I am intelligent enough to not discount things without further consideration. My skeptisicm has more to do with the reports of forum members more so than with the phenomena of astral projection.
a unique cluster of energy that can leave the physical body, and go anywhere in the world. but wait, then you would have to ups your body to you. i'm only kidding, because i definetely feel we are capable of so much more than we will ever realize. some can become more aware without the use of any substances, but for me lsd has always seemed to be a vehicle to obtain more of that awareness. it wasn't sold to me my first few times with that idea, it was just something i discovered it could help me with.
I can't help but distrust the genuineness of astral-projection while on drugs. I've known two people who claimed they had done it, neither a drug user (of any kind). One was my grandfather (and it was my grandmother who told me of it), the other was a young man who was heavily involved with a spiritualist sect.
I had a very near experience like this off 2 hits of double helix at a folk festival but never had the words to describe it. Every way is up and every way is right, it felt near to the fourth dimension in a comprehensible way... only on acid
